fk you, Blatter. Fifa proving all they care about is cash, and NOT people of all means around the world enjoying football.

Good, it would be a disgrace having to pay to watch your national team at such an event.

International football is dull enough as it is, i certainly wouldn't pay extra to watch it

You would think FIFA would welcome the free for all rule.

Pleased that they've lost - blatter's a proper tosser - but the damage to international footie's already done by taking the Euro's away from a single host country/counties and by now trying to wriggle out of playing the world cup in the summer in a few years.

If they move WC2022 to the winter it'll be chaos - and pretty sure it wasn't in the initial plans for Qatar's bid to host - surely if you can retrospectively have the deal altered like this, what's the point in having a bid system at all?! It's not like it's a little tinkering of the details, it's basically uprooting the world's major football leagues for three seasons! How they can get away with this is laughable.

Here's hoping the European leagues boycott any changes.

Plus, wasn't the main 'reason' for FIFA going with the Qatar bid, was to promote football in the region, and yet here we are discussing them wanting to restrict TV rights to those who can pay.

Does this mean we have to put up with Lawro or god forbid - Andy fking Townsend!

FIFA should stick that in their contract.

Sorry to go off topic, couldn't find any other WC threads,

Ol' Seppy has started to get a little concerned...

Brazil+Riots=Concern

Are there plan B's for such events?

England could easily step in to host - all we'd have to do is stick up a couple of flags & print some programmes.

But FIFA hate us, they would rather go to the USA (again)

I know - was aiming for some irony in the post - statement applies for the shambles that's the desert WC as well.

If only! The best set up for a WC, locations close to each other and as shown by the Olympics we put on a good one!
