Lots of talk just now about Bale looking to move on from Real - he's currently on £400k a week after tax and the figure of ~£120m is being talked about as a potential transfer fee. That's a lot of money for an injury prone player who is turning 29 in a month or so. Of course the other side of that argument was there for us all to see at the weekend.

Only United Manchester pay anywhere near these crazy wages.

Not so sure Gareth will want to do all this running back defending Jose favours neither.

He has medals & enough money to never be short, even by football standards, so maybe he has to make that decision around money and splinters in the backside, same or similar money with a chance of a domestic cup or two, or play for the love of the game and enough money to get by, while playing every week, getting adulation etc.

He won't pick the last option, unless it involves shiploads of Asian money. Even Iniesta couldn't resist frown

It's being reported that Zidane has called a press conference for midday (BST). Could be that he is going to step down.

Such a shame that Southampton have just appointed Hughes otherwise Zidane & Ronaldo would be at St Mary's next season.... gutted wink (Likely Ronaldo would have to start on the bench and work his way into the team)

That would leave Bale and his champions league winning goals at Madrid another season. Now it's going to be a free for all

Gareth Bale has been told continuously to choose either Bayern Munich or Manchester United. Manchester needs Bale in their squad, but German giant Bayern has interest on Bale.

I was listening to a small time Spurs podcast this morning & they were saying that Bale is on around £600k a week before tax & he has a £1b buy out clause .

I think we can safely say he's not coming home to N17
