I can't see him accepting any offer from China, no matter how much $$ they dangle.

I think I would have just had a knock about with the youth team in the morning and played golf in the afternoon in Madrid. He still has 3 years left on his contract so they have to keep paying him £350k a week after tax.
That's over £50m take home for 3 years not doing much whilst staying living in Madrid with his settled life.

He’d probably outlast Zidane if he did that. And I wouldn’t blame him if he did. People expect players to take a pay cut to go somewhere else when they’ve accepted a contract on a certain wage, in a certain city for so many years and just expect them to upend all that for ‘play time’. Think you are right , Bale probably will outlast Zidane , They lost to Athletico 3-7 last night. Only a friendly i know but blimey .I can never understand the pearl clutching when a player does something like this. If I were one, acutely aware of the short career, that could be ended at anytime just by being at work, I'd jump at it & screw the fans who to a man are as fickle as the weather. His career, his choice.
