In the playoffs then folks. Leeds, thankfully, dropped off a bit towards the end as the pack we were chasing remained pretty consistent. No idea who we'll play as three ahead all within a point. 3 pundits on Final Score all picked a different team for their playoff tip, I guess reinforces the lottery element of the process. I'd take Huddersfield in the final though!
Fingers crossed!

I never knew this was here!
Assuming we don't encounter a record 15 goal swing against us on Sunday who do you want to play in the PO semis?
I would rather take on Wednesday over two legs to allow for a recovery from a poor first game. Wednesday are the form team at the moment and two bites are better than one. I am more confident about beating Reading or Huddersfield on the large Wembley pitch in one game.

It's come to this, 5 pm Saturday is midnight here. I'll get a few San Migs , gin and tonics tune in to gentleman Jim , assisted by Jamie and listen to the commentary.
The more matured of you will remember crystal sets , transistor radios ,radio Luxemburg no central heating etc etc .
How about a spoonful of malt ?
Anyway ,bar power cuts , earthquake's,typhoons and pestilence I'll be roaring my team on. Win? Of course , a definite maybe. Fulhamish ,no , just pragmatic.

Yep, not going up this year. No way. Next year - here's hoping.
Fulhamish. I live in Reading and can't get a ticket for Tuesday. Argh.
I will be at the game tomorrow but I'm working up north next week so Tuesday will be a Sky Go iPad occasion (if they are showing it).
Wot 22 said.
I really don't like how this is shaping up. They bullied us in to a draw, and two of their main players are out for the second leg. Shaping up for a home team backs-to-the-wall wrestling match and a 1 goal win for them. Gah. I smell a 1-0 to Reading, McLeary scoring.
I hope I am as wrong about this as I was about our chances to reach the play-offs in the first place.

I think we've all noticed the time wasting tactics employed, we're not innocent. Why does it take Betts so much time to kick from the area, throw ins' ( I don't know where the apostrophe goes, I failed my 11 plus. ) are another bone of contention , most of Malone's throw in's ( spot the change ? ) are illegal too, anyway who cares a flying fig.
Chris Martin up front looks to me like a waste of a critical position , some one here must have seen him play live , I only see the video from the Fulham app. Can anyone enlighten me as to his value in the team ? The manager obviously does but I'm just asking.
Reading border on being a dirty side , I've no love for them after seeing the match, shame that because I like Berkshire, spent a lot of time in Windsor in the seventies.
Opinion about tonight's match , its an away win.

What Chris Martin does is pull defenders away from critical areas, creating gaps. I'm not convinced it's our best tactic, but against a team set up to park the bus like reading will do against us I can see some merit. Wear the buggers out for 70 minutes then replace him with something different.
Wish I shared your optimism, mikial. Like I said I live in Reading but haven't been able to get a ticket so will watch on the telly. Grew up in Windsor as it goes, but prefer life in Reading these days. Windsor's nice to look at but a I wouldn't want to live there any more. Crowded, noisy, expensive, aircraft skid marks on your roof, tourists, over priced poor quality restaurants...........meh.

I had a friend back then in the seventies who had a men's fashion shop ( boutique then ) bang opposite Windsor Castle, he was funded and supplied the rags by Harold Tillman. Tillman in those days operated from the Elephant And Castle. Nearby on the Stockwell road there was a building Tillman used as an office/ warehouse / showroom. I went to a launch of some kind there , also in attendance was George Best , I think Tillman supplied his wardrobe. Happy days.
Windsor was a good place to be then.
I can see the point and value of Martins inclusion after your comments but he's a slow luxury surrounded by quicksilver, attack minded players. I know Zamora was similar in play mode but Zamora was a skilled striker ( after a difficult initiation ) who proved his worth.
I hope I've got it completely wrong about Chris Martin and he plays a blinder tonight.
I just can't see us losing .

I wish you hadn't said that last sentence.
I'm nearly 50 and spent my early childhood in 70s Windsor, yes it was good back then, I recall your mate's shop. Lived in walking distance of the Long Walk and Great Park which was brill for youngsters, and used to attend Windsor & Eton FC when not being dragged up to Fulham by my Dad on his motorbike.

I are very disappoint to have been right, apart from getting the scorer wrong. Wasn't a penalty (Reading player touched it first), but I can't expect the ref to have spotted it, and without video replays it was always going to be awarded. Tactics were spot on from Stam, have to give him that much credit. Jokanovic got it wrong with the starting 11 and the subs - should have perhaps started with Martin and brought fresh pace on late in the game but it's easy to be wise after the event. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of the Derby lad (I still hate Derby for 1983).
My 12-yr old son wasn't looking forward to going to school in Reading this morning..............oh well it's a lesson in life, he'll have to rise above it.
Will next season be Tigana-like? Could be. Could be a very good year if we get things right in the summer.
