Just because you got screwed at all those places too, doesn't make it 'good value'
So you explain 'value'? Average season ticket price is about 25 quid a game. Some cheaper, some more expensive. 'Value' is determined by the person paying.

Totally brain dead, moronic arse holes, even what appears possibly,
educated, well to do supporters seem to lower themselves to the level of the pack, on football days.
I travel home by train every Saturday, football fans on train, screaming, chanting, bad language used every other word, ladies, gents, small children, does not matter, they do not realize or care.
Everyone who is not a football fan, looks at the floor, as you are expecting something to kick off at any time, you don't make eye contact, they are feral.
Same scenario with a rugby match, it's like a carnival, singing, laughing, joking, no foul language, train can be packed, but no underlying sense of malevolence.
The atmosphere is totally different. Why ?? what happens here ??

Quoted, for the sake of irony.

Yes but standing in the rain for 3 days to watch cars go round in circles, then blaming the FIA when your team loses is clearly the behaviour of geniuses.

Sports fans, calling sports fans stupid, because they like a different sport? Yep, that's stupid.

yes

A huge number or people go to games throughout the league every week. As usual, the minority get headlines.

You've obviously not witnessed welsh rugby fans then, some of them make football fans look like philosophers hehe

I'm pretty sure there's a back story to this post involving some football fans stuffing this poor chap's keyboard up his arse.

No, but a lot of people are stupid, and a lot of people support football teams.

Stupid, no. Inability for rational thought when it comes to 'club loyalty', yes.

I noticed someone mentioned the high prices football fans must pay and claimed they must be stupid to pay them. On the other hand, of course, those people must be earning a decent enough salary to pay for such 'luxury' so maybe have a reasonable IQ to do so ?

IQ and earnings have little real-world correlation. Some of the dumbest people I've ever met "earn" big money, some of the smartest work in menial, crappy jobs.

Nope, no arse violation, from keyboards, or any other object,or persons.
Just thirty years of working Saturdays, travelling home by train, from Cardiff Central.
And I have seen both football, and rugby supporters, many times.

(Please, no rants, it was something that was being discussed while watching a TV programme about World Cup fans).

Here's a tip. If you're going to label football fans as stupid make sure you don't stutter in your post and that you use punctuation correctly. Full stop should be inside the brackets.

Are you basing your opinion on train travel thirty years ago? If you are then I would probably agree with you, times have changed. Trouble occurs only on rare occasions now as it does in rugby. Perhaps the Welsh are different though. wink
