Well all I will say is good luck to Gareth, I saw him play his 1st few games for Spurs and he has come a long way .
I also must take my hat off to Levy ,what a good deal maker/breaker chairman he is - Im sure Joe Lewis is working in the background with various Sponsors -maybe he has finally decided to get Involved .

We only missed out out Champions League footy the last few years by a Berbatov goal at the Lane and Chelsea winning it!
The last time I was this excited about our team was when Venables had Ruddock & Co in our team but the spat with Sugar destroyed us for years .....

Are we about to establish ourselves as a serious front runner ? ........... Hope so - we nearly have a whole new team with no mindset/baggage about Arse/Man Utd/City/ Chelsea are better than us

So happy we ended up with Lamela over Willian.

Obviously time will tell but from what I have seen of Lamela he seems to be a pretty special player.

He looks excellent.

One thing that I'm pleased about as well, not only do we have these top quality players coming in that will, hopefully, play well for seasons to come - they're also fabulous assets. It strengthens our ability in future business scenarios.

Just saw a great quote aimed at those who still harbour thoughts maybe...just maybe...Bale might stay.

"now Spurs have blown the life insurance, someone's gotta die"

Quality business by Spurs.

Basically yu lot are doing the business that we should have done when we sold Torres. Instead the Kenny/Comolli dynamic duo spent our £120 on Carroll, Henderson, Downing, Adam, Doni and a couple of other wasters.

The only ones still standing from the Hodgson/Kenny era are Suarez and Henderson, speaks volumes really and it put us back 3-4 years in the process.

Good comparison. That was a reckless and insane spending spree, although getting 50m for Torres has proved to be the most astute piece of footballing business this century!

Yeah selling him was good business for us but it doesn't count for much when you spend almost 4 5ths of that fee on someone who scored 9 league goals in 2 seasons.

biglaugh Fair point. After Torres the second most astute piece of footballing business is Ashley's sale of Carroll for £35m.
The difference is that he bought Ba and Cisse who scored for fun.

It's almost going to be boring when the transfer window has shut.

I reckon Levy has that song Hot Shot Totn'm on repeat on his discman.

Holtby on loan and offers for Siggy?

I'm not sure if this is good or bad? Both very good and promising players....

I could see the sense in selling sig as he wasn't all that for you last season and this season it will only be tougher.

But Holtby, unless its a loan to someone inside the premiership, seems an odd one, you still need depth even if you sign Eriksen and Lamela, would make no sense for it to be 2 in and 3 out.

Roma had to sell Lamela to make room for Gervinho. Nuff said.
