Aspas played well in pre season.
Has played dog ste in the prem.
PL teams are a different level to the teams on the pre season tour.
He isn't going to get much time now when we have Moses, Suarez, Coutinho and Henderson all to play infront of him. Touch wood Sturridge stays fit.
He's an ass on the bench at best.
If he grows into the prem then great.
Another Borini in my eyes though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVOXQUZme_o - Video of Aspas playing against Real Madrid.
He plays lone striker and has no trouble holding off Pepe on multiple occasions.

Perhaps we should stop playing him out of position then. He plays lone striker and has no trouble holding off Pepe on multiple occasions.
I don't really think that video against Real flatters him much. Receive, hold and pass? At Liverpool we don't play them kind of tactics. We want him to be taking players on. Making good runs inviting Gerrards passes.
This is a much more flattering video for him. Shows him more controlled and comfortable on the ball

Speaking of Borini, has he played yet whilst on loan? David NGog quality at 10 times the price.
I've lost count of the amount of times I and others have posted stats about how little Borini actually played for us and how fragmented those few appearances were due to injury. To say he was a failure is incredibly ignorant. In fact ignorant isn't even a strong enough word.

I have to agree, and have said it a few times now.Edited by 2seas on Thursday 19th September 23:36
Championship though it was, when he played for us in his correct position of central striker in a good run of games, he was sharper than a sharp thing.
Injuries, plus being played on the wing for Parma, Roma and now Liverpool have stunted his development.
Those in the know in the Italy camp would not say he was a potential Inzhaghi for nothing.

A good original post about Luis Alberto

Puts this thread to shame doesn't it? http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topi...
Alberto does look to give 100% effort. I'd like to see a line up of Moses, Alberto & Sterling sat behind Sturridge against Sunderland. Been suprised at Sterlings lack of 1st team starts this season (despite only being 4 games in), I remember the commentators saying he's been playing exceptionally well for the reserves. I suppose with Henderson playing the Dirk Kuyt role it's been hard to fit him in.
Fingers crossed for an easy game with no dramas this weekend. A 1-1 score in Manchester would be a good result for us & I hope Girou gets a hatrick (SEE thats what happens with fantasy football, you start wishing the opposition do well for your score hehe).
