Just looking at our goals against at 44 worst in top 5 and worse even than Manure !!! Obviously we have scored shed loads of goals 40 more than Manure !!! But we need to tighten up, conceding is a by product of the way we play to a certain extent but Bren has to get a better defensive coach in and / or goalie coach.
Neville and Carragher were pretty critical of our defence on MNF. They pointed out that our defence drops too deep, particularly Sakho and Skertel. A great analysis from rat face on the Liverpool back four just now on Sky Sports 1 and the need for real improvement. The need to move out as a unit before balls are played through or crossed - too many (Sakho, Skrtel, Johnson) are dropping deep and need to push forward.
My personal feeling is that Sakho is just a liability and doesn't read the game properly, Skrtel another liability (despite all his crucial goals this season) - still continues to holds people's shirts when a ball comes in. However both can improve I think through better defensive coaching. Johnson - well - he is a just a liability. Period.
Cissokho I am not too worried about as his loan will almost certainly won't be extended and unlikely to feature for the last 3 games. Moving forward to next season, the defence needs not a complete overhaul but a through analysis and improvement!

Definitely. As the senior player it needs to be Skrtel organising everything, but he's just not that calibre of player. We need a world class centre back to play alongside Skrtel or Sakho or Agger. I think we'll sell once of those three to fund bringing someone in.My personal feeling is that Sakho is just a liability and doesn't read the game properly, Skrtel another liability (despite all his crucial goals this season) - still continues to holds people's shirts when a ball comes in. In other news, I don't think we're going to see WBA getting a result tonight!

Was hoping he'd get another 2 transfer windows and finish the job. Hopefully just noise. He just needs time.
You have to feel for the man (a bit) given what he inherited..
He's taken a trophy winning team to a middle table team. st.
We're all gutted because if they get a good manager it'll be harder for us to be successful next season. With him there not so much.
Moyes, I wish him a long and fruitless career at manu but can't see them being that stupid. As said took a epl winning side to mid table.
Aparently according to the Guardian he had been under scrutiny since the home defeat to us. Not surprising given his late sub to bring on Ferdinand, I can only assume he thought it was another guy with the same name..
How many vacant manegers positions are we responsible for this season.. :-D

I'm already nervous about Chelsea. Win that and City will be 9 points behind us with 4 to play and Chelsea's chances will be over. Huge, huge game. Our biggest domestic game since the rebranding to the Premier League. Hopefully we'll have learned from our defensive mistakes against Norwich and rise to the occasion.
I'm sure you've all seen it- Agent Moyes has been sacked by ManUre. Shame really as the football genius was doing a sterling job all round; but fairly inevitable given their fall from grace. Still think whoever replaces him permanently faces an almighty rebuilding job.
Right. With that said, it's back to worrying about next Sunday's match against Chelsea...

As I posted before Manure have a better defence than us but haven't scored goals this season because moyes didn't sign a striker and van Persie couldn't be arsed this season. If he had simply got one decent and one half decent striker they would be ok.
They have Rooney, RVP, Hernandez and Welbeck. That's more than enough firepower. It's the way he sets the team up that has led to their downfall. I mean they have Kagawa, Mata, Januzai, Valencia, Nani, Young as well.
It's not like these are Sunday league kickers (well maybe Young ).
But they dont want to play for him, he should have sen this and bought in his own scorer - Rooney cant go abroad and will not be sold in the UK hence he held out for as much money as possible but cant be arsed playing - Rooney needs a new challenge but Colleen wont let him go.
Moyes had every opportunity to do this right but blew it on the simple fact they didnt score goals - nuts. Giggs and Neville could have just said "hey boss like can we attack a bit like" Moyes suffered from Woy syndrome small time mentality at a big club.

There were a lot of problems at Manu.
Firstly, Moyes was to Utd as Hodgson was to us. Simply the wrong guy. Obviously not great at motivation or connecting with players on a personal level and not too clever with tactics either. The antithesis of Rodgers.
Secondly, he was replacing SAF. I imagine there could only be a handful of managers that could replace a guy like SAF in his players eyes, without causing a dip in motivation and Moyes certainly wasn't one of them.
Thirdly, the Manu squad is now one of the worst I can think of in the last 20 years. De Gea, Rooney, RvP and Mata are the only decent players they'll have left after this season (if they all stay). It's incredible to be able to reduce a manu squad down to just four players.
Lastly, the management within Utd clearly don't know what they're doing. They also got rid of their chief exec at the same time SAF went, leading to some disastrous transfer windows. If I was a Manu fan I wouldn't have any faith in them to pick a decent replacement to Moyes and I highly doubt they have a £200m transfer fund to give the next manager like some fans believe.

Ouch! Especially the last sentence. How much damage has that done to Fergie's reputation and influence?

David Moyes' exit was inevitable after Sunday's awful performance at Everton.
A dressing room source labelled the performance as "lacking desire and passion" and "the basic heart of the team has disappeared". It had seemed for some time the players had stopped trying for Moyes. This confirmed it.
In truth, the Scot has never looked at ease in the job.
He was taken aback by the sheer scale of the media interest in United. He downplayed situations when the club are used to scaling heights and he failed to impress players who own more medals than he can ever hope to amass.
The big problem for United is that having taken Sir Alex Ferguson's word on the appointment, where do they turn now for an alternative?
