With the injury problems Chelsea now have, I can see Mourinho going for a bit of a second string to try and go all out for the CL. Chelsea's defence without Terry is definitely more penetrable.
Pffft. My Maureen Bullstt-o-meter 2000 is off the scale. Terry's ankle looked minor - he'll be playing. All this talk yesterday on here about Liverpool selling Suarez. if anything, Liverpool will be looking to consolidate and build the team:

Who would be on your summer transfer wishlist?
Can't see us buying big names for big money. Think we'll be shopping in the 8-15m market and the club will be looking for Coutinho type signings - slightly off the radar - in order to find value. A name will get linked and before you know it the YouTube videos emerge and they're the next Ronaldo. Rinse and repeat! Saying that I think we'll be back in for Konopwker.

Personally, I would like to see someone come in who will be a long term replacement for Gerrard, an attacking midfielder that controls the middle of the park, scores goals and is young. Isco pehaps? Or looking closer to home, can Conor Coady step up into this position and be molded more into an attacking midfielder? Continue to develop Alberto and give him more game time going forward.Saying that I think we'll be back in for Konopwker.
Defensively, I think we need a left back and right back. The central defence, whilst it has leaked a lot of goals this season, needs better coaching rather than new players IMO. Really need to push out instead of dropping deep as Liverpool are currently doing. Skrtel needs to stop shirt pulling.
Could do with another (backup) striker. Get rid of Aspas and Borini. Need someone proven with experience that can make a difference coming on from the bench.
1. Any targets will now miraculously be 25% more expensive due to our visible cashflow increase
2. I've seen reference to saints/spuds/mid table players. I hope we actually get someone with proven european experience who may cost a bit more but will provide hopeful solidity.
3. I hope any defender is a hardcore, 6ft 5in man mountain whop can get us organised.
4. I hope we don't buy some world cup flash in the pan played well for 6 games wunder international ala toto scilla

It would be good if we did most of our business before the world cup. Sure there are a couple of of mature free signings that might be worth snapping up for the experience.
Think we only need 2-4 top signings and for the rest of the squad to be evaluated and players sold/given new contracts as necessary.
Back to the redevelopment, I understand that the new main stand can be pretty much constructed over the top of the existing stand so that we don't lose capacity whilst it's being built.
It was a nightmare getting tickets when the new Kop was being built, with the loss of capacity for a while (I know I am going back a few years..)

- cough* El Hadji Diouf *cough*
Jamie Carragher later said of him "He has one of the worst strike rates of any forward in Liverpool history. He's the only no. 9 ever to go through a whole season without scoring, in fact he's probably the only no. 9 of any club to do that. He was always the last one to get picked in training.
