I've been in the upper kop a few times this season it really is like being at a different game (the part where everyone stands)
Wish the whole kop were this active !
Last time I was on the Kop was when it was became the new all seater stand, the roof hadn't been finished, it pissed down and I got soaked! IIRC it was a FA cup replay against Burnley, we won 2-1 with Ian Rush scoring. I haven't been able to get back to Anfield again since leaving Liverpool for good. Wish the whole kop were this active !

On Sky Sports News this morning, Sturridge himself said he is hoping to be back for the Chelsea game on Sunday, when asked by a child at a Liverpool school yesterday. Allblackdup said:

I have been in all stands (inc old and new Kop) and the Kop is something different, an amazing experience.
My first game was in the Anny road stand (european game) and have been in the main stand and centenary, including the back row. Obviously being behind the goal gives you a strange view but it it something never to be forgotten.
Can they do anything to the corners to give a bit more room there? that seems to a bog difference between a purpose built stadium and a ground with 4 stands, that the corners can be used better in a stadium
Roll on sunday - Maureen will be fielding his best possible team without question I think

Well for the first time I am in the lower centenary for Sunday, I had an offer I couldn't refuse for 2 hospitality tickets for Chelsea and in the offer was a lower centenary ticket as well - couldn't refuse. I have never sat in it before and I am a little nervous if my broad shoulders (fat gut) will get through the turnstile (if they have them I have no idea).
Article about Chelsea and saying that City will complain if they field a weakened team.
Surely they have enough decent players to field 2 good teams anyway.

I've only been to Anfield once ... About 1994 it was, v Ipswich in a a cup replay on a Wed night ... There were about four on that night, Saints v Bolton I think and Portsmouth v someone. I remember there were stacks of goals that night.
I was in the Ipswich fans, although I don't support them, I went with some IT supporting mates who had a spare ticket ...
Great atmosphere. Lost in extra time to a free kick winning goal, can't remember who scored, may have been McMananananaman. IT had taken the lead as well ...
We were stuck in there til about 11pm from memory ...

I honestly don't know what he thinks he achieves by talking such st all the time?
Makes him look a complete muppet sometimes IMHO. As if he's going to go into a potential title deciding game playing a 2nd string, 1st round Carling Cup strength squad...He's got 1st choice players missing but there's depth on the bench and the likes of Salah will be on. Lampard is suspended for the CL so bet he'll be warming up on Sunday afternoonMy concern is that we're not going to score in the first 20-30 mins like we have in most games this season and the heads will drop and we'll be exposed at the back. That said, the Chelsea Pensioners have a better scoring record than the guys on the pitch....

Whats the lowest priced corporate ticket Dave?
Reds lounge with a lower centenary seat from memory (can check later at home) £1500 BUT if you had one of my tickets at £3089 you could sell off a couple of top games for £500+ a game. If my mate didn't need Chelsea I could have done Chelsea and Newcastle for £2500 for 2 seats both games. Its crackers. If we had a cup run its even better. Different times these days.DSLiverpool said:
