Dare I say it is looking promising this season. We have a replacement for every position on the pitch and still winning with our top scorers from last season out of the first team. I do feel sorry for Bryson though. Great player but at his best, the guys (Thorne, Hughes, Hendrick) are all young and could be really good players, capable of prem football certainly.

Happy times for DCFC.

Big night (for Man U - haha!). Can't see us winning tonight but I CAN see a draw. I just don't think either team has it in them to win, let's let the football do the talking though.

COME ON YOU RAMS!

Frank Lampard confirmed as manager. Does seem an odd choice, but good luck to him.

Not sure if it's odd. What's the alternative, going back to the same old barrel to see what you can dredge up and finding out you've scooped Tony Pulis?

Agreed. Nice to see them trying to avoid some of their traditional mistakes.

It's good that they have given him a chance rather than going to the usual suspects. I wish him well.

I think it's way too soon, and I can see him and Gerrard ending up how Gary Neville did (sacked within a year).

I was thinking that from an outsiders perspective Derby have been trying to get promoted for years, and been close most season. Chairman has pumped in lots of money, and has a habit of sacking managers quickly. I would have thought they would have gone for someone with a little more experience of management, and also knows the championship.

Best of luck to him and hope it goes well, and potentially could be what they need to get them promoted.

Belting free kick for the 1st goal and great presence of mind for the 2nd goal.

One very happy Derby fan out in Dubai this morning.

Us Rams fans do our talking by selling out play offs, something Forest fans can only dream of.

Went to the match last night, I've not felt as sick in a long time as I did when Marriott put his second goal away, and I started dreaming of Wembley.

I'm not getting too hyped up over Villa in the final as that will be just as tough, and I know that Leeds were a man down before we got our 4th, which helped us, and Roofe being unavailable, I'm not going to lie, he was a big miss for Leeds.

I'm still in a small state of shock this morning, work later and that involves mixing with some Red Dogs who've not been kind to me recently regarding our chances against the dirty Leeds, so it'll be nice to put them in their place.

And what a way to do it, overturning the deficit, away, and being 2-0 down early on in the first half, in the tie.

Just very proud of the lads for showing achieving something like that IS possible for Derby, and looking forward to either being in the Prem next season, or having given it a damn good go.

Villa fan here - bloody good result from you lot last night. Ironically, I still fancy our chances more against you than against Leeds!

Either way, even if Villa do bottle it, I'd still prefer to see Derby go up than Leeds.

Roll on the final! bounce

As a Chelsea fan, I would rather see a Nazi paedophile 11 go up than Leeds.

Well they'd certainly feel amongst friends every time they visited Stamford Bridge...
