Well they'd certainly feel amongst friends every time they visited Stamford Bridge...

Tickets sorted to the final, now to sort Sunday night accommodation and travel.
Well done. thumbup
My wife and I called repeatedly using two phones for over two hours non-stop and couldn't get through. Then the announcement that all the seats have been sold out! In two hours!

Gutted, but hey, that's life.

Hopefully they'll put the big screen up at Pride Park for the locals.

We'll be singing our support from Mid Wales. beer

Ah well. Not the game i was hoping for.

Too much respect was given to Villa at the start...Should've come out with a more aggressive line-up. Lawrence wasn't in the right place (understandably) and Villa did well to keep Wilson quiet.
Even with an injured Marriot, I'd rather have him set the pace for 30 min than to bring him out at the end when we're on the back foot. In short I think a large part of the line-up was wrong. (Can anyone enlighten me as to why Cole got a start?) But hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The last 20 minutes was electric, the best football of the entire game.... But as close as we were to getting the equaliser we simply ran out time. Much to the relief of the then VERY quiet Villa fans. hehe

Can't take anything away from Villa. They did what they came there to do.

It was a cracking day out and a decent end to our season.

Good stuff, glass you enjoyed the trip, even if not the ending you wanted. I guess the question for Derby is can you hang on to Frank, and some of the loaners you have got there.

It’s a ridiculously hard league to stay the course and get promoted. You need two 25+ goal a season strikers to have a chance.

Still always next year eh !

You know it...It was an incredibly close season!

Fingers crossed we come out the other side with a our team in tact or there about. ...I'm confident we'll get another season from Frank, he's done really well as a first timer, made some great loans and really gels with his team. He'll get one more season for sure.

On another plus note we get to take our cup back. wink

Fozzy injured, Malone suspended.

3rd choice left back, and has big match experience.

(I know I've quoted that wrong, on my phone)

Nice start to the season with a well deserved away win...I'm liking Clarke. He's a good fit.

....And a possible Rooney player/coach signing in the offing today??

So long as his influence & performance on the pitch, plus the increased club profile merits his (likely) hefty wage then this can only be a good thing. Great work from Mel if this actually happens.
One of UK's greatest footballers in recent history....Yeah, not too shabby at all as signings go.

Why doesn't football simply have the numbers 1 to 11 on the back of the player's shirt?

Wayne Rooney is taking Derby into league 1

"I want my team playing with energy, I want my team playing with a belief in terms of winning every game," he said following the Millers defeat when asked about his philosophy in the job. " That's the mentality I need to change in the players.

"Attacking but with composure as well. I don't want the team to be a Leeds, for instance, I want to have a good balance. I don't want the players scared to make mistakes. I want them to play with freedom.

"I have signed for two and a half years to put my philosophy on the team."

"I don't want the team to be a Leeds"! He can but dream.

Back in the real world he's down to hoping Rotherham don't win a couple of their games in hand to avoid the prospect of playing Rochdale and Accrington Stanley next season.

I reckon Rotherham will lose at the weekend to Barnsley and Derby will beat Birmingham, pretty much confirming the 3 relegation places.

Fans of League 1 clubs must be relishing the prospect of seeing Wayne Rooney up close next season.
