Such a privilege to witness two of the greatest players to play the game in the same era.

He deserves it this year, regardless of Messi's injury. True sign of greatness to keep plugging away since 2008 to win it 4 years later.

Given the year Ronaldo had, he had to win it really.

But wtf was up with Messi's suit!!!

It was inevitable he'd win it this year people were getting tired of messi winning it and messi's injury gave a perfect get out.

Ronaldo is a great, great player, but is he the best in the world? no, that's lionel messi imho.

I like Messi's suit, why dress like everyone else ? glad to see he isn't afraid to be different. Ronaldo deserved it this year, has been superb. Actually really really beginning to like the guy and thats not easy to say being a Liverpool supporter. Well done.

Some of these notes are nearly as partisan as those at Eurovision

Makes it a bit of a joke really. Some of the votes are embarrassing. Very Eurovision Song Contest feel about it.
