The practice of counting STH's in the attendance has been going on for years. We at Yeovil have been doing it for five years at least now; ticket office manager said at any one game, there could be as many as 10% STH's who don't turn up but are counted in the figures as technically they have paid for the seat.

We have approx 3,000 STH's so our crowds are artifically high by around 300 per game.

Are policing costs based in part on actual attendence or the figure givrn by the club ?.

Maybe condoms are hard to find there?

Well after SAF claimed to have "knocked Liverpool off their fking perch" * it looks like Moyes has helped them get back up there. Another load of pain to go with the rest of this season.

  • I know it was really George Graham at Arsenal who knocked them off it.

I'd much sooner see Gerrard and Rogers on the perch than Terry and Mouriniho.
City and Chelsea are plastic clubs. Liverpool are the real thing. I hope they win the league, and in style too.

Then we start chasing them down.
All over.
Again.

As long as we don't get another 20 odd years of watching them win the League for fun. That was my painful childhood and teenage years, right up until I got a nice 21st present from SAF

I reckon we're of the same generation so I'm with you here.
But Liverpool are real rivals. Not rich boys playthings. Let's beat 'em fair and square.

Knowing Loon's love of all things Scouse, I want to see him congratulate them in THEIR thread ... hehe

There is one real life thing though, which is that my current girlfriend is Scouse. As much as I play the rivalry card, I spend more time in Liverpool on business and pleasure than I do in Manchester.

Can anyone explain this to me?

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/18/da...

Moyes reckons he's got it tough because he's doing a rebuilding job. Rebuilding a team which currently hold the title, a title winning legacy left by SAF.

But he reckons Everton are awesome this year because of the legacy he left Martinez? A 5/6/7th legacy?

Huh?!

I can explain it. He's lost the plot and in Daveyworld finishing 6th or 7th is good enough.

Trouble as well was the football was pretty fantastic on Sunday afternoon Kick Off if Bill Shankly's team were playing.

So this may just be the game when there is finally the realisation that DM left, Everton got better, DM arrived, we got worse. As ever, I hope we win today but if a loss triggers a major change, then so be it.
