Even 4 games/360 minutes remaining of this season seems too much now. And apart from still being mathematically possible, it will be no higher than 6th place. You have to go back a very long way to see a title winning team fail so badly the following season...

Cheers DM (et al) - you were never my chosen one!
Indeed. Unbelievable really. Even when managers have taken over title winning teams in the past I don't ever recall anything that bad. Or that people need "more time" in charge.

Basically, DM has done st. I can totally understand people needing more time to get to their best, but no new manager in the past has seemingly needed quite so much time as what Moyes appears to need!

Um, no matter what Moyes does, your players aren't up to to four any more. SAF should have cleared out three years ago instead of recalling the likes of Scholes from retirement. That's when the rot set in. people forget that although you were clear champions last year you still looked very beatable in many games. Worst team to ever win the league I should think.

Moyes: We controlled the game and passed the ball really well

Carra: Pfffft. He must have been watching a different game to me.

"Manchester United David Moyes, speaking to BBC Sport: "We had a lot the ball, passing, and controlled the majority of the game. But we didn't have a cutting edge and got done on the counter attack. We gave away two dreadful goals."

And Welbeck "saying" he is wanting out. That is a real bad sign when you get a product of the youth team who broke through saying that.

This suggests that things aren't good at OT and not just down to their current league position and cup exits.

Agreed 100% with what Carragher had to say today.

This season, at first it was: OK then lets see what Moyes' plan is

Then: Well it all looks a bit random but it's OK, he's still working out his strongest 11 and tactics to fit the players

Now: Well, its been a whole season and he's still changing formations and making random substitutions every 5 minutes, what the hell is going on?

That was actually Easy. and the double.

Thanks.

COYB.
Moyes has broken another record today. First time ever both Mersey teams have done the double over Utd.

Still. I just think he needs more time.

Was Moyes at the game ,because his comment that they played well first half but give two soft goals away. The guy is on another planet.

What for? More records? How about a season where we lose to all the West Mids clubs? Or where we get beaten by Leicester home and away?

How about this one?

That's three goals in ten matches for Man Utd v the top five this season. Joint worst figures in league (with Spurs)

I've remained quiet on this subject, as I am just about old enough to remember the days before SAF and how bad things were at times. However, today really has capped it off for me. It's obvious that DM is totally out of his depth and that the players either do not want to play for him or he cannot manage them.

Of course the club (the board) have to take responsibility as they appointed him, but if they do not act now then there really will be dark days ahead. How can they contemplate spending £200m with Moyes choosing the players? I wouldn't trust him with £20 to buy a decent subbuteo team. And signs like Wellbeck wanting out, RVP body language, and even Rooney being below par all point to deep seated problems that money alone will not fix. All this about DM needing time is piss and wind - mourinho didn't at Chelsea.

Another rumour floating about (told to me by a ste fan though) is that Phil Neville has walked out tonight as well.

It's only a rumbling and it might be scurrilous mischief......
