LVG can be a bit of a mentalist at times though. No guarantee things would improve THAT much ...

Hilly is right though. Look at our history, since football was invented we have won every cup, every season without fail and won every game that we've ever played in. In all that time SAF was the only manager we ever had too.

Or maybe he's not right, in more ways than one

Lazy, you said when DM was appointed ...
Nothing will change . Whatever happens, they'll always be saying we're gonna be crap next season. It's an ongoing theme for the last 10 years..

And *they* were right ... You were st as you have admitted!

Yeah true, but he does have a good CV, he would be a 2-3 year manager and I think would get us back into the CL and the players would play for him.

I really hope Van. Gaal gets the Salford gig. If you study his career he doesn't do baling out sinking ships. His MO is to take over a squad that is mature but under achieving. He does his 'motivational' thing, gets reults in his first season and then alienates the players by his methods. Cue departure after season 2 or mid-season 3. Of course Utd are nothing like the Ajax, Barca or Bayern squads he inheritedsmile

Good luck to him. Disappointed in a lot of fans to be honest. After years of mocking others for their "hire 'em and fire 'em" attitude it appears that when the smelly brown stuff hits the fan, we're no better. frown
Leave it out!

Moyes had taken over the champions of England and turned them into a joke. His stupid tactics and blind comments at the end of each failure (and there have been a lot this season!) demonstrate that he was out of his depth.

What did we need to give him more time for? To turn the whole squad against him and then fight for a place in the top half next season?

Change is what is needed. A lot of managers genuinely are sacked in stupid scenarios, but Moyes is not be one of them.

LVG would get more out of RVP, that's one plus!

I do like the way Dortmund play football another option there....

I'd stick Giggs and Scholes in until the end of the season.

Stan folly more, I love way that's auto corrected, is about to have an aneurism on talksport with all the speculation!

I don't want Louis van Gaal. Too old and far too much of a history of falling out with players. My personal choice would be either Laurent Blanc or Jurgen Kloop. Each have their pros and cons (e.g. Blanc knows the club and has an amazing football brain).

Outside bets would be on Fergie returning, or Mourinho. Both extremely unlikely.

No chance, Giggs and Scholes. Fergies been asked about this in the states and absolutely no was the response.

How long is Jose's contract? Let's just stop fking about and buy him out. We are willing to drop 50 or 60 million on a player, why not be the first to do it on a manager!

Up to our eyes balls in debt? Not anymore if you review recent figures and we still have plenty of revenue commercially to come to cover a season without champions league.

Wow, really? You'd want that completely boring, dire brand of 'just do enough' football brought to Old Trafford? He's like Moyes but with just a few more 1-0 wins.

Yes, we have been st this season. Don't quite get your point. Yeah, people have been harping on for donkeys that we're going to hit a st patch. Well, yeah, we have. Big well done to the fortune tellers. After umpteen seasons, they got it right this season. Christ, if betting works like that, I'll get down the bookies more often and demand a payout a couple of decades in advance. rolleyes

The man on the hill. rolleyes Who knows? Even I was doom mongering for eternity yesterday after that abysmal defeat at Goodison. A sleep later and in calmer thoughts, fk Moyes off and get a top rank manager in and we'll be back on track. The sooner the better now..
