Wow, really? You'd want that completely boring, dire brand of 'just do enough' football brought to Old Trafford? He's like Moyes but with just a few more 1-0 wins.
Oh yeah Madrid played st football!!

Perhaps you'd rather we went for Brendan?? wink

No, he needs a couple more years at a lesser club to learn his trade. One lucky season doesn't make a lifetime of success. Blackburn, Leeds...

Yes, we have been st this season. Don't quite get your point. Yeah, people have been harping on for donkeys that we're going to hit a st patch. Well, yeah, we have. Big well done to the fortune tellers. After umpteen seasons, they got it right this season. Christ, if betting works like that, I'll get down the bookies more often and demand a payout a couple of decades in advance. rolleyes

Haha! Easy isn't it. I don't know why more clubs don't try it.

I agree with jammy. No way would I want Mourinho at United.

I thought Liverpool were the most successful club in British history?

Didn't the fans at Real hate him partly because of the boring football he employed?

Also interested to hear how many transfers in and out you guys think Utd need to be competing for top honours again. Personally I think Utd are where Liverpoool were in 2010.

No. Somebody misled you mate. United have won more trophies in total.

To those thinking Utd can bounce right back with a new manager please look at the team sheet from last night.

UNITED
01 De Gea
04 Jones
12 Smalling
06 Evans
28 Büttner
24 Fletcher
16 Carrick
17 Nani
08 Mata
26 Kagawa
10 Rooney

It's been over 20 years since I've seen a Utd team that I looked at and thought, meh. You're in big, big trouble, the kind that's only sorted with +£200,000,000, a top class manager, and a couple of years of time. Will the Glazers have the balls to splash the cash, and allow the new spout some time. I doubt it.

It's going to be an interesting few years at The Theatre of Nightmares.

Mouriniho is either evil or deluded. No thanks.

I see the BBC have a breaking news banner saying that ManU have confirmed that they have not sacked Moyes but refuse to comment in whether would be dismissed before the end of the season.

When did they overtake Liverpool? I know Utd have won lots of Charity Sheilds, maybe that's the difference.

Yes, we have won charity shields included in the total haul of trophies. They are trophies, they exist and they get won. If you want to eliminate those wins to suit, that's fine by me. They never happened. wink
