Roman's purse strings are tightening, promise of £millions to spend at OT, the chance to rebuild a team and to follow in SAF's footsteps...could he refuse?
think he would be good for you, possible reasons why it won't happen:he is an a.hole in external PR terms
why didn't SAF recommend first time round?
London v Manchester
he is loved by the Chavs and I think his ego needs to be stroked

Providing the club can guarantee a transfer budget - MUFC must be the most attractive proposition to a top manager. Moyes has taken the brunt of "following on from a legend", still plenty of decent players spend a load of money and they are right back in the mix with a top manager in charge.Adam B said:

+ he is too arrogant to be second choice, if you wanted him you should have got him last year he was the stand out choice, that said he is completely classless he and Chelsea suit one another perfectly. he is an a.hole in external PR terms

If I was Martinez's agent I'd be excited. Fabulous time for him to complete part two of a brilliant double jump. If anyone can restore 'the United way' to OT it's him. Great track record, great with the press, and a cheaper option for the Glazers to boot.
I just don't buy into the idea that a 'mega manager' is the answer there right now. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Any manager can spend lots of money, but not every manager can make players play.

1. He is hilarious, and a genius. He does it to wind people up, but ultimately he defends his players and his team. He does though, occasionally, overstep the mark.he is an a.hole in external PR terms

2. Who are we to say that he didn't, and the board decided against it?
3. Personal opinion. Not sure if a football manager really cares though.
4. His ego would be stroked by MUFC fans. Just look at this thread!
I don't think it would happen, but I would like it to.
It's all speculation at the moment, and I hate the waiting!
There are many possibles with upside and downsides to each but one thing to be sure of is that we need someone 'early doors' this year so we don't have a similar transfer debacle to last year. The new man needs to identify targets at the beginning of the transfer window so our intrepid money men can move on them. I know EW is a year wiser now but that's not necessarily saying much. I also think it's wise to move early in World Cup years since prices for desirable players tend to go mad after it so again, early identification is key for me.
So I reckon we should help the new guy along by finding targets now - bearing in mind this supposed £200m, where would you put it and who would go?
