Rumour Control (Irish Branch) reports that Van Gaal would want Keano as his No. 2.
I don't care if this is utter tosh, just the thought of it makes me over-stimulated!
If the players were worried that Van Gaal might be a hard case then imagine their reaction to his idea of a nice guy....
Saw that earlier ... Good idea though, the bad cop, bad cop routine!

Some guy on Talksport said he wanted Gary Neville as manager with Fergie as his mentor for one season only. I think he was slightly mental.

I think with any manager you need a good set of coaches behind the scene, which Moyes missed.
Am I right in thinking that Moyes got rid of the whole of United's backroom staff when he took over?
I think some where asked to leave but I think some wanted to leave for pastures new. I don't think it was all his doing.

Yep, the LMA acting like a typical union! Not sure how it was unprofessional - I mean the guy had about 10 months notice which was confirmed in writing about 1 month ago. They even sent it air mail:

Suggestions on the radio that Utd may be in trouble with the SEC. Announcing the sacking on Twitter is not an approved method under SEC rules.

Coleman yes,
Baines no too expensive for his age rather get Shaw if possible
Barkley no, not strong enough to play alone behind Mata or Kagawa and probably too expensive
Mirallis no, remember Michu 2 years ago and where he is now?
Delafeoueieou no, can't say it let alone spell it plus he's only on loan isn't he?

BREAKING NEWS - Speaking for the first time in his new role as CEO of the Co-Op, David Moyes denied that he only got the job because they can't be arsed to read CV's either...

I've heard it said a few times that he's potentially a very good player. Potentially. Let's see in 3 or 4 years...
Our team needs quality not potential. We've just got rid of a potentially good top class manager.

Can you really afford that? 3 or 4 players, yes, majority of a team (while keeping the shareholders and ever so slightly keen for money owners in shoes happy), no.

If you're buying, £15 - £20m pa is the starting point in the current world and for the best you're looking at £30+. You can't afford to have a team full of that level without some slightly odd benevolence.

He did manage Barcelona B for a year and got them promoted before taking over Rijkaard.

Managerial merry-go round

Anchelotti to Man United, Brendan Rodgers replaces him at Real Madrid, David Moyes fills in the now vacant spot at table topping Liverpool.

That'd be ideal I think.

Scousers probably wouldn't be impressed mind.
