Fergie reportedly to rewrite his autobiography to include how he really felt about Moyes' time in charge. Does he always need to be centre of attention, can't he just take a dignified silence?

Got to love Klopp.

Still Woody has told everyone you can spend 60-70 mil on a player...he's clearly a crack negotiator!

If that's true then what a stroker. Great manager, that can't be denied, but just a horrible person.

Not quite. He says that they CAN spend that, but he also said:

"That doesn't mean we are going to throw money around"

"The reality is that we're not afraid of spending significant amounts of money in the transfer market. Whether it's a record or not doesn't really resonate with us. What resonates is a top, top elite player that the manager wants that is going to be a star for Manchester United."

To me that says "we can spend whatever we want, but it will only be the right amount for the right player". Basically, we are not going to break the bank just to prove a point, nor will we do so if the deal represents st value.

Very much an unnecessary thing to do. We all know Fergie will regret that decision. That's all. Let's move on and let Moyes get on with (rebuilding) his career without such an undermining piece of publicity.

I didn't want Moyes as manager in the first place and was rather critical of him when he was in charge, but I still hope he can move on and be a success elsewhere.

So he's come out in the media saying he CAN spend that amount of money on a player if they wanted to...what do you think will happen to the value of any player you now approach? You get the "Utd have a st load of money to spend" tax added on.

Surely he could have kept his mouth shut and just gone about his business.

Have you read it yet? As it was announced it is to be released late October by United themselves, I doubt it will be a character assassination and best sellers in the biography world usually get an update when released in paper back.

Having had the pleasure of meeting Sir Alex horrible person is way off! Ruthless football manager yes but horrible person, no chance. All IMHO of course.

We have just signed a new monster sponsorship deal. The level of debt has been massively reduced over the years and the financial reports consistently show growth in revenue and profits.

Did he say anything that clubs didn't already know? Of course not.

A penchant for the arts helps too.

Yes you would.
Case dismissed.

It'd be like shagging the local bag lady. Stinking of gin......

As I've already stated he is a horrible person, and supplemented that info with the fact that he looks like a bag lady that stinks of gin........probably.

Well, actually he did mention it long before the adidas deal was announced.

I thought he said it yesterday?

Anyway, people embedded in the football world will have known something was coming up. Either way, it is common knowledge that Utd have money to spend.

It's not like he's taken lessons from Peter Risdale.
