United look very nervous so far. Ashley Young cannot play as a wing back imo.

Di Maria is a very good player and a huge improvement on Nani. Even if you buy Vidal and a centre back, the problem for you remains the same, Rooney just ruins the shape of any team when he chases the ball everywhere.
Rooney with 5 premier league & 1 champions league medals.
Same Rooney who has now scored more goals for united than Cantona, Beckham & Keane combined?

Fletcher and cleverly have to be one of the worst midfield pairings in our recent history. Not looking good.

You're wasting your time arguing. Rooney will go on to be Uniteds top scorer in history and possibly so with England too but he will still be called st blah blah by other teams fans.

There are 2 Rooneys?

SAF was without doubt a remarkable manager. I don't doubt for one second Rooney's talent. Rather the inability of managers other than SAF to control him. Maybe the new manager can have an impact on him. I wouldn't mess with him. I doubt there's any doubt whose in charge of the dressing room.

Really didn't expect that. After the defeat to Swansea last week I was thinking that would be a blip and you'd romp Sunderland....

Didn't watch the match, how did Utd play?

Why on earth are United signing DiMaria?

He is a fantastic player, obviously, but United already have plenty of attacking talent. What they need are top-class defenders and central midfield players.

Very odd.

This.

Sky are saying £63.8M Di Maria... he's worth £40M at most.

Dwight Yorke and Gary Nev just had it spot on with the post game analysis. Too much sideways play and not enough pace and attacking guile.

DiMaria will bring a lot of pace and someone who will actually run at players and take them on. The fee is inflated because we are in desperate need for these type of players and the other clubs know it. I'd suggest we've paid £20 million more than if we were current Prem champs or so...

Not forgetting of course that if you put Shaw, Herrera and Rojo in there and already the team looks a million times better....

Thought you said that Utd wouldn't need to overpay for players because they are desperate?
