More like Van Gaal, the only one who would take the job.

I know our defence is for st but it pretty shocking that a combo of Mata,
Di Maria, Rooney and RVP can't manage a goal.

How big a squad do you have now? How much is the weekly wage bill?
I know MU have a large income but things are finite. And as an aside, what happened to all the youth? Seems a large amount of foreign players coming in..

As a further point, where does investment end and 'buying a trophy' start?

Edited due to crappy phone typing..

Buying a trophy is the case if you have won sweet FA in the last 20 years and then someone suddenly invests loads on money in you....

So I think we are at least 10 years away from that.

If this 3-5-2 nonsense was the way forward then why isn't anyone else trying to implement it. Has he won anything with it?

Granted, but now you are realising the level of investment other clubs had to put in (or 'buying a trophy' if you will) to catch up with the marketing behemoth that is MU) - the only realistic way these clubs could compete.
Disclosure - I am a part time fan of my local club where I grew up (in the conference now sadly) but take an interest in football in general with no particular allegiance to any cub (apart from a soft spot for Man City, the closest Premiership / 'big' club there was growing up - with MU being 3 miles further away hehe ).

He's preferred formation is 433,I'm guessing having only 3 fit defenders at any one time at the moment and trying to make Rooney , mata and a declining rvp fit together is determining his tactics.

With Rafael, Shaw injured, Rojos no work permit his hand is forced to play a 3-5-2.

Ferguson always built his squad around defence (including goalkeeper), ensuring a strong foundation.
This clown is doing the opposite!

A problem inherited from BOTH previous managers, everyone knew Rio, Vidic and Evra were all off. We got Smalling Jones and Buttner.

Most seem to think once everyone's in we'll line up 4-3-3, wonder what that'll look like?

DDG
Rafa Jones Rojo Shaw
Herrera Mata Blind
Rooney RVP Di Maria

I really hope we find a formation and stick with it!

Not in the last couple of seasons he didn't. He ran the team into the ground like a £500 Colva estate.
This 'clown' as you so eloquently describe him, is still doing the clear up after Ferguson's apparent lack of interest in the club's future.

Do you think that back 4 is good enough though?

I seriously think our back 4 is weak ( LFC ), But I would prefer it to that one.
