Fair point.

Falcao is good for the Premiership, it has to be said.

Collymore also tweeted that Falcao said yesterday 'He was realising a dream by going to Madrid'

Gotta love Twitter.

I think your missing the Adidas deal (£750m over 10yrs) and Chevrolet deal ($559m over 7 yrs) we signed which add to the coffers. They are investing now to get back into the Champions League next season.

The stress is showing from the ABU's and haters. laugh

We were obviously panicking by bagging Di Maria a good few days before deadline day.

The Adidas deal is heavily incentivized. You don't hit certain target then that money starts evaporating. The Glaziers know it.

BTW - I'm not an ABU. I'm just making a point that you guys are spending money like there is no tomorrow and it's harder to do when you do it with debt.

Thats true. I think we have not invested for a good few seasons. Fergie didn't do it, and Moyes couldn't attract the players. LVG has obviously only become our manager on the agreement of money being spent, and players being brought in. Not the way I would prefer to do it, but in this day and age needs must.

Fingers crossed they all fit in.

For all those worried about our spending, our £150m spend so far is covered purely by Adidas, AON and DHL sponsoring our kits, training ground and training kits

We can spend the same again before we even have to think about FFP

Compare and contrast to City who were only allowed to spend £49m this window and have already spent 25m of it, hence them having to sell before any players come in

Love that we're not allowed to spend any of the money the club has earned.

Not a bad start to the day I suppose, our game plan for the year must be to win every game 6-5!

RVP Falcao
Rooney Mata Di Maria
Blind?
Shaw Rojo Jones??? Rafa

Can't argue with the quality of your signings. Everyone top class.
Falcao has to be a challenger for most annoying looking tt in the league now Suarez has left.

You are one of the few clubs who can sustain this type of spending - and, really, who gives a fk about the money?
The next TV deals will be even bigger and so it will continue.

Can't see it happening now but I would like another centre back, unless he plans on a return to 4-4-2. Saturday was awful to watch and plenty of frustration was given from the away end.

Wonder if LvG is looking for an RvP replacement. He looked poor Saturday.

I`m not arsed about your spending to be fair.
Hell of a signing if it goes through and balls to the defence if you get that front line firing (which would be harder not to really).

You all have to understand that watching a team at the top for 20 odd years can get slightly irritating! wink
So please excuse our delight at your iffy season last year and the iffy start to this one, you cant really blame us for enjoying it. I know you have extreme delight when we balls something up.

Intent! I hate this word, we all know that a team isn't just going to roll over and say `aah, fk it, the squad and team are good enough`. You have been at the top for a good while now and nobody expected you not to sign good players, opposing fans and Utd fans together thought you MAY struggle attracting the talent due to dropping out of the CL. This hasn't been the case which is good for you and not so good for the opposition.

It will be a good season if we can all stop Chelsea running away with it.

Good post, probably the most sensible and reasoned one I have seen and I can fully understand all you say. smile

Not sure we can be accused of overlooking defence - Rio, Vidic and Evra out, Rojo, Blind and Shaw in.
So you've replaced 2 x experienced CB's with 2 x inexperienced LB's and a defensive midfielder (who can also play at LB).

Surely you've got to be hoping for a late deal for Hummels, Vlar who can actually organize things?
