Danny got 10 goals last season, often being played out of position or coming on as a sub. Whilst I am unsure if he'll ever be world class, if he is played in the right position and gets a decent run in the side I see no reason why he cannot get 20 goals for you.

Remember as well he was playing in front of one of our worst midfields in years so chances were few and far between

Blimey, bet that was a tough 21/2 hours waiting for that to go through!

Good signing for you guys and one I am insanely jealous of, that is one hell of a squad you have somehow assembled in about 20 minutes! All teams have there weaknesses, we have ours and you have yours and that is where will get exploited but I can`t see you in the doldrums for much longer.

Shame for us all that we have that wky stfest of a national break.

thumbup

It's certainly be interesting and should hopefully liven things up for the rest of the season

laugh It feels like that. Hell of a turnaround!

With any luck, we might even be able to scrape the odd 1-0 win here and there.

So the Telegraph have now written an article stating he is on 265k not the ludicrous 346k they stated yesterday

Well you can see how they arrived at the figure so not a "made up" figure. That was his salary at Monaco, so just assumed if you go on loan and the other club is picking up his wages that is what the figure is.

I'm guessing that is it is a loan to buy they amended his contract to the new figure that will have Rooney in a huff in no time.

Maybe even The Chosen One could have bought his way out of trouble if he's had that much to spend?

Yes, I know that LVG is a genius

I can't understand the bhing about the money.
Utd's colours are nailed firmly to the mast - some major signings and I think it took balls to make these changes so quickly.

As a scouser I hope it goes horribly wrong and a limp 6th place finish is the result BUT I can't see that and after a bit of adjustment I can see you handing out some epic thumpings.

He probably did have the money to spend given some of the targets he was supposedly chasing and happily splurged the best part of £30m on that waste of space Fellani.

I think if that Woodward fella had actually made the signing of Cesc last summer that could have had a huge impact on your season under Moyes. He was/is exactly the type of midfielder you need.

Man Utd revenue ~ £360m per year

Burnley FC revenue ~ £23m per year

(numbers are approximate from 15 second Google search)

The times version is more credible , especially since rooneys contract stipulated he has to be the biggest earner , and the 190k a week ties in with di Maria and rvps salaries.
But it's irrelevant , united will just get someone to sponsor the toilets for £30 m a season
