What's all this 'Champions League' stuff I keep hearing about? confused
It's a new competition designed to cause injury and tiredness for our rivals for the premier league/top 4. Apparently next years champions league is the one to be in while they sort out the format this year.

You mean their going back to the original and most logical format of only Europe's champions being alleged to enter (and thereby automatically eliminating the ridiculous rule that clubs from the same country cannot draw eachother, which is just a rule that protects the top clubs from the top three nations) and stop the silly 4 pot draw (which is just another way of protecting the top 8 clubs against stronger opponents).......

And while their at it they might as well stop the new rule that the Europa leaque's champion is allowed to enter in next years CL, becuase it would've meant that if the rule was introduced last year then the Spanish would've had 5 clubs in the CL this seasons.......

42 nations participating in the CL, the majority of those nations have zero, 0, clubs in the CL, but the Spanish would've had 5.......

Well done UEFA.

My predictions for the CL semi-final this year; Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen, (Chelsea or PSG)

O wait, isn't that the same as in the previous 4 years, or was it 5, or 6...................

;-)

Normally I'd think this is just bks but after Falcao and Di Maria I'm not so sure. hehe
Shaft Rooney and Van Persie cause he scores more than both combined and that covers the wages.

We're vocal from staff and players that we need the fear factor back. Teams would fking st themselves about the counter attack with Ronaldo, Falcao and Di Maria.

Not a chance that teams would come to Old Trafford and have a go at us like they have for the last few years. Much more like QPR-style performances.
Seems like all of a sudden the word "defence" is no longer part of the discussion regarding Manu.

I predict it will be back on the agenda in the comming weeks.....

If only we had bought 2 defenders, promoted another from youth and had 2 more coming back from injuries.

If only.

I think everybody is being a bit harsh on Welbeck, lets be fair he has played two games for a new club, against two of the top 20 or so teams in the world, Had he made his debut against QPR or Hull & scored a goal or two everybody would be singing his praises & the Man u faithful would be moaning as to why LVG let him go.

He's only a young lad & one of the best England has to offer.

You might be right, but if I had to bet, I would say his goal scoring record won't improve significantly and that is what the Goons bought him to do.

People have been questioning why we sold him for only £16M - my own view is that actually we did pretty well out of that!

I have to agree with that. He is a player (like Chich) that I was so desperate for them to do well with us. It just didn't happen and I suspect that he will never be is good we all hoped, at any club.

Saw that. Saw another one suggesting January yikes

Can't see any of it happening myself & there is certainly no way RM will sell him during this CL campaign.

An injury to Benzema and they'll realise Chichorito isn't quite good enough so they'll need a proven goal scorer. They can have RVP who isn't cup tied in part exchange!

Bound to happen! wink

Mental isn't it. I had heard the rumour but only about saying it to Rio (which was but enough) but Vidic? Jesus, Moyes should count himself lucky to be alive, I wouldn't ever want to upset Vida.

Just clear the telegraph cookies

(if you're using Chrome, Settings>Tools>Developer tools>

Then under the resources tab expand the cookies selection and right click/clear the 'Telegraph' cookies.

It's not really a paywall.
