What did he do? Straight red?Happily we have Mata who I prefer for that role anyway and RvP and Falcao up front but he may have cost us this game. 7.to go.

Kicked out at Downing. That's what £250,000 a week gets youanonymous said:

You beat WH with 10 in a very close game. I think the main point is the gap between WH and Man U is a lot smaller than what it was 2 seasons ago. And with liverpool, they failed to replace their goal machine.
Both man u and Liverpool are well behind the pack leading the league at the moment and man u haven't played anyone who finished higher than 12th last season I beleive.

I don't hugely disagree with what you have said and it's still very early in the season to judge either team, but when the scousers got battered by the same team and are now below us in the league it's a little crass to come on here having a pop at our players and it's my right to defend them. And with liverpool, they failed to replace their goal machine.

Thanks for the link..
I think WH deserved a point. Man u very lucky..
I prefer to think of it as a game where united showed the resilience missing the last 18 months, west ham created very little I think WH deserved a point. Man u very lucky..
I think in terms of injuries and referee decisions united are due a fair bit of luck .

ManU may have shown resilience but to say the Hammers created very little is wrong. The stats show West Ham had over 50% more shots, more on target and more corners. That for an away team doesn't read like creating very little.I think in terms of injuries and referee decisions united are due a fair bit of luck .
As for luck, indeed, I haven't seen MOTD yet but Charlie Nicholas was pretty certain Nolan's equaliser was onside, apparently they showed a reply on Fox Sports and it was indeed an ok goal.
One last question, why did the OT crowd give Rooney an ovation for getting sent off? Both Sky and BBC5 remarked on how odd that was.
