Michael Oliver is trying to help us out here. Could have been 3 pens now.

Silly boy Smalling. Tried the Chelsea style disruption tactics but too obvious.
Gotta say though, I'm not sure who was more effective in that game out of RvP and Falcao. Garbage performance from a so-called world class forward. Didn't score, kept running offside under no particular pressure and nothing stuck to him all match. Is he ever going to get some form back?

Really can't call which way this is going to go. I'd love it, just love it, if we battered them though.

Think we've had our two good seasons out of him.

Surely there must have been another decent CB we could have bought in the summer?

Evans and Jones are on an injury rota.
Smalling is not very bright - for a footballer.
Big money may not be the answer in January. Good scouts should be capable of finding a fit rock ape who can do what he's told. Does Jim Holton have any relatives?

I believe the joke is that Falcao is injured and therefore wasn't even in the squad...yet was equally as effective as RVP

Ah, only had one eye on the game - thought I'd missed him coming back from injury!

Rooney?

He's become very mediocre at best. Why doesn't he shoot anymore?

Dissapointed, although we held our own IMO with one less player.

Smalling needs a good stern kick in his 8oll0cks

My feelings too. I'm disappointed but felt we did well at the same time.

Smalling is no longer a youngster with potential. He's fast becoming a senior play with fk all.

Ah well #YOLO

Have any of the young United defenders developed? Smalling is generally poor, Jones is injured, Rafael is impetuous, Evans is prone to mistakes.

Yes, I'm led to believe that Rafael had pubes by the time he was 4.

I really don't rate Evans at all, Smalling and Jones were supposed to be the next big English CB pairing and they're not. Jones could be okay but Smalling is not, even before today. Rafa's okay but still young and not terribly defensively minded, Shaw is also young and doesn't seem to be doing much yet for £30m.Rojo's okay but how long could he be out for after today?

Just seems mental that we ended the game with Shaw, a youth team player, Valencia and Carrick as our back 4!!

Smalling had potential but has not progressed. I think Jones and Rojos could be a good partnership with Evans being a good back up. We need cover at RB to push Rafa and help him develop.

Just a bit of spray coming out of his gob when he's shouting ,souness did a much bigger one in his pre match analysis.

Weird game ,and although dissapointed with the result we did show a lot of spirit and fight compared to last season.

The injury issue is a joke ,but we are going the right way ,
