It really is starting to come good and we are still way off our strongest first 11.Young and Valencia did well. One of them cleared off the line in the last minute to ensure Dave the save's efforts weren't in vain. And young was a constant threat going forward.
Mata and Fellaini are growing onto their shirts with every game. As is Smalling.
Can't wait to see Falcao explode to put us right back where we belong.
He really is The Dutch Master. That philosophy is starting to permeate through the team.
12 from 12 now and there's more to come.

Total domination apart from the last 3 minutes, would have been a travesty if they had equalized.
Smalling was excellent trying to make up for his nightmare vs city.
Perhaps you need a shocking performance against City before you become a quality defender at United! Happened to Evra and I remember Pallister being at fault for four out of five goals back in '89! Smalling was excellent trying to make up for his nightmare vs city.

evra and vidic as well wasnt it ? i remember pally looking like a tree stump when he first joined.Smalling has the 'design' to do well,he is quick ,tall and should be strong ,would like to see him bully forwards more .
On the really positive side ,fellaini and young actually look like footballers now ,
Interesting few days. Predictable for City and Chelsea tonight and although Lazy and I are behind a tilt at the title it is possibly too ambitious?????
That makes third and fourth up for grabs. I would like to,think we'll be more than in the mix but it could be the tightest battle for years.
I still think we are in with a shout as a dark horse for top spot but I am out of beer and on pints of G&T tonight so my judgement may be skewed. Monday against The Saints will be fascinating and then it's the dippers. It all seems wiide open right now and we seem to be gathering momentum.
fking get 'em drilled LVG we are on the march!!

Too right! City have shown they can play ste this season and will again. Chelsea can and will go through a 'bad' patch, though that's looking like still better form than everyone else. We're getting better and that will continue as and when injuries aren't such an issue as they have been.
I'll stick my neck out and say we'll end second this season, to Chelsea.
ETA - love the fact nobody is really mentioning us. The press saying they fancy Arsenal as an outside bet but not mentioning Man U. That'll do for me. They're in a quandary after licking their lips last season at our terrible season but now they can't say jack.

11 off top is a big ask, we'd need to really perform especially in the Xmas period. Would be nice to at least get ourselves in the mix though.
The realist (or maybe hangover from last seasons pessimism) says we're not solid enough at the back still and will drop some silly points. 4th remains the goal and one I would be happy with, anything above that is a bonus.

Ferguson was a great manager but he ran the squad into the ground.
