Good result for your lads today, especially after the early blow to you of Johnson going off.

Agreed, Liverpool could have easily got 4 or 5 today with better finishing.

Currently a 30 point swing between the teams since the end of last season.

And only 1pt behind where City were after 16 games last season...

How can Rodgers say he thinks they did enough to win the game? If they'd scored 4, they'd have won.

They really are in the st if he thinks scoring none is doing enough to win a game.

I fear FSG will see things your way & Brenda may have a lot more time for personal grooming and shopping very shortly. Although I think he was on about their performance which otherwise wasn't too bad.

He obviously means that they created enough chances. I know that the only stats that matter are the number of goals scored, but if you think that you eased past them today then maybe you're the deluded one. It could have been a completely different story (like last season's scoreline) if Liverpool had better strikers (Sturridge) or if De Gea was injured today etc.

IF IF IF means nothing, fact is DeGea was awesome and Liverpool have st strikers when Sturridge is injured.

The United keeper and the new manager not had it easy for first month or two or so for the current season but bothseem to be progressing well since.

Comments from Louis van Gaal today show he is on the ball with current deficiencies and so hopefully he can sort that out.

He was wrong with his 3 months and admitted to it, the players seem to be rallying around.

Which they do at Arsenal also.

Good stuff.

fking dancer. What a fking win. Dave the fking save is cool as a fking cucumber. Sterling couldn't finish a fking ice cream on the strength of today's showing.

Rooney's goal was set up by the Valencia of 3 years ago leaving 3 dippers for dead.

18 from 18. City and Chelsea with Europe to deal with will lead to tiredness as we continue to make progress under the Dutch Master. Neither were convincing yesterday.

Other points from today, has Rodgers got a big watch or is it his unfeasibly small hands. It looked like Jeremy Beadle directing play with his gammy arm! fking Carney

And wallet, phone and keys all still in my pocket

Where have I suggested we eased past them?

The press are doing that, not me. Fact is, we scored and won. Liverpool lost and didn't score. 6 wins on the trot is no fluke and having a top keeper on top form is great.

I guess it's difficult for ABU's to stomach. After all, you can't deny we've had unbelievable bad luck with regards to injuries. That's undisputed.

So, instead of delusional, I'd rather like to think of it as playing well enough with the players we have to be winning 6 games on the trot. If our opponents can't score, that's their issue, not ours.

We had 11 shots. By the same philosophy as was applied by somebody on the last few pages, had we taken all those chances and turned them into goals, we'd have leathered liverpool on paper. Didn't happen, and nor did it for them so read the result one last time, let it go and have a good evening.

I'm the deluded one. We expect to give chances away right now. They couldn't finish them because De Gea was cool as fk when faced by Sterling as he finishes in the same way as the little girl he copies when he runs!

The Liverpool thread makes for good reading. My scouse boss refuses to give us any credit for the win. Deluded idiots.

When City lose they admit if they were out played.

So glad we won. Pay Dave whatever he wants.

De Gea - Awesome

Falcao seems to run around like a headless chicken - they really havn't dialled in to him yet. Would love to see that start to click, needs more game time, if he's fit he should have started.

RVP back to his best (or close to it) by the look of him.

Fellaini was great in parts , dire in others - stole a lot of possession in the 2nd half. Somewhat ironic to see him doubled up after an elbow in the ribs though!

There was some bloke wearing a shirt with Gerrard on the back, not sure he was a footballer though, didn't seem to do a thing!

I've just realised something I'm so disappointed about. Why didn't Rooney kiss the camera? It'd have been brilliant.

Why? Was it a vintage camera and he'd shag it?

He certainly needs a few games to get going and grab a goal. Shame he has been injured.

Really? I'd say (as a Chelsea supporter) that City were very convincing. Worryingly so.
