Kind of ironic really when you think how much stick united fans give Chelsea & City for buying the title.
Difference being, our money is homegrown. But it's nice to have lots of money available. I reckon Spurs would be in a similar position to United but you've pretty much won fk all and as a result, not generated prize cash, so I understand your jealousy.mickk said:
Do you really want me to search for the amount of crap players that's turned up at Old Trafford?
No need mate, done it for you11 of them right here

You should re watch the game you had one shot in the second half that I canremember.
Mason should have scored and as for Pen it was Crystal clear it should have been given
nah, mata and van persie had golden chances better than masons which was the one one chance of note you had.De gea had pretty much nothing to do.You were st and we should have hammered you ,but you improved slightly in a terrible second half. And the penalty..yes if you want 10 penalties a game.Mason should have scored and as for Pen it was Crystal clear it should have been given
we didnt deserve to win at southampton and were lucky against liverpool ,but lucky we didnt get beat by you...not in a million years, not even the bias press are saying that.

Tottenham had 4 shots on target and Utd 5, for the whole match.
problem with stats...,doesnt reflect how good chances were, nor where shots were from...spurs had one chance they should have scored from, united had 6 or 7.Title for Utd gone & a top 4 spot for Spurs looks further away,

Initially that would happen but, players would soon have to modify their play or they would continue to lose matches ten penalties to nil.
indeed, but its gone on always,at every level.I played at a good amateur level(centuries ago) and I cant recall a corner where i wasn't fouled. And as i said, rooney was being fouled as he was fouling indeed he was pushed more into the guy because of it and that made it look worse....attacking players block defenders as much as the other way round .

Stats mean bugger all , 1 point each & that's pretty much it.

indeed but not sure of any reds I know who expected to challenge for the title,3rd or 4th is the aim .Title for Utd gone & a top 4 spot for Spurs looks further away,
Something we look easily capable of,but i think those 2 places are going to be fought over by UNited, arsenal, possibly yourselves and southampton if they can keep players fit.

This, it was and remains the goal from the start of the season. We all know we are far from the finished article but are enjoying the football we are playing and getting some cheeky results. The media love to talk us up for the title and the manager is right to keep it as a goal but realistically finish 3rd or 4th and no one will deem it a failure.
As usual its the spuddies getting wound up about the big bad Utd
Exactly that! It's changed from people laughing about us being 7th to people talking about us being in contention for the title. It's their last straw of hope that we don't actually win the league. Laughable. Fact is, I don't know one United fan who is upset at how we're doing at the moment. The only upset people are the ABU's, running around stting themselves because we're back.

Fair play to you
I was at United vs Chelski. We were barely in the game except Uber Genius Jose sat on a 1-0 lead. United had one great chance in the 95th minute and took it. Otherwise Chelski were highly organised and strong.
Personally, top 4 would be a good season. No-one in my United supporting circle ever considered us as contenders. The defence is too inconsistent and disorganised.
That the ABU thing is alive and kicking is positive affirmation of how far LVG has come.

To be fair I don't think anyone other than United fans is seriously considering you as contenders. 3rd or 4th for sure but you are not in the same echelon as Chelsea and City.
You expect us to go from 7th to title contenders on a par with Chelsea or City in one season? Have a word with yourself. Not one United fan I know is hoping for anything other than 3rd or 4th. Some good buying next summer will see us back up there.GTO-3R said:

The constant changing of players and formation makes us inconsistent.
The 0-0 at Spurs was a surprise but both teams were knackered from the sound of it.
