Terrible first half. Mata looked bloody good in the warm up and was dreadful during the game.

A win's a win I guess.

First game I've not attended or watched in the last 4 years ( holiday and an internet connection dating back to the Jurassic period)I believe things got better when we went to 442 and Fellaini came on?)

Yes definitely better, but still not great. How Falcao missed some of those chances I'll never know.

Yes only just. Moving from the manual coupe to a flappy Spyder. Unusual for me, but the noise is better (with the rear window down) and it's easier to rev it out (not that satisfying in the manual for some reason). 👍

Excellent,I was following one the other day,I do think the cab looks better than the coupe ,and that rea r window thing is brilliant .
Not so sure I'd go for the dual clutch for me,I really loved that manual box.

Don't know how much truth is in it, as its a paper, probably not alot!

Can't see why we would go for this though, surely LvG can see we're desperately short of defenders, and over subscribed with attacking players? All I can think is that we wouldn't keep Falcao if we got Bale, but then with RvP getting older perhaps its time to get another top class forward in to replace him. I also see De Gea developing into the best keeper in the world, but when Real come calling its hard to stop them!

We'd be nuts to let De Gea go. Keepers are so underestimated. They win more games than strikers do.

yes

Lloris has saved our arses on more than one occasion this season.

Can anyone really see Bale coming back to the Premiership after just two seasons at Real?

Surely it's not a case of you *letting him go* - he can run his contract down and go for nothing in a year. If he has decided he wants to go to Madrid (in whatever kind of cash/swap deal) then Utd will have to sell THIS year.

If he was going to stay at Utd, he'd have surely signed the new contract by now, no? And his replacement is already in place ...

If you're not short of a bob or two, and money isn't the motivating factor and if you're that good that you're in demand (as De Gea is), it's where YOU want to play isn't it? He may not want to remain in Manchester for a variety of reasons. Or he may sign the new contract next week, who knows?

I think he owes the club a bit more loyalty; that did stick with him when he was a fking calamity.

I don't think he is going anywhere. He has the opportunity to be a Schmeichel type legend at the club. Ok, the current quality isn't great but knowing United, they'll be approaching top of the perch again soon. Much to my ire!

PROBLEMS AT UTD.

IMO It's not the personnel that's the current issue with Utd, it's our shape and the way the team is setup.
We do not have anyone in the midfield capable or instructed to take the ball forward into the final third.

Our drive whilst carrying the ball is mainly from Smalling or Evans out of the back. Their forward runs, carrying the ball only takes us over half way. All well and good, but the ball is then going sideways every time. Occasionally our flank men get it to have a little run at them.

Where are our ball carriers..? Yesterday's game opened up when we had a forward working hard - Wilson and a midfielder who took the ball forward - Fellaini. The old rear guard of Falcao, RVP, with Rooney playing like a crab isn't going to hurt the bottom clubs letalone the top boys.

Pundits and supporters alike, say that our defence is a problem.. It Is.. But none more so that the way we are setting up the team. Whilst we are stil winning scrappy games, LVG will be forgiven, unlike Moyes.

We all know LVG is a world class manager, but do you think his philosophies are suited to the Premiership..? The players are showing patience on the pitch and the supporters also, but when does that run out..? The game is won when we score more goals than the opposition, not bore them into submission and wait until they make a mistake.
