What old self? Almost nobody had seen him play more than a few games before he came to Utd, and he was appraised largely on the basis of a Youtube clip of his best goals. The level of punditry in this country is embarrassing. I imagine that he has always been a good, but not great, player with a lot of sharpness and aggression; now that he is a bit older and a bit injured, he's lost what made him better than average.
? Saw him play a couple of times in spain ,where he looked fantastic and watched enough spanish football on tv here to think he was one of the very best strikers in the world. So stop getting your knickers in a twist.Wombat3 said:
Has he? or is he just not quite clicking yet with a midfield & a strike partner (or three) he's hardly played with?
I like him as a player, great movement, works hard, knows the way back to his own penalty area and he's clearly hungry.
....and he's not a diving, cheating tt either from what I've seen so far.
Hope we keep him, looks like a proper United player to me.
correct,he's playing well ,but has no service, his movement was excellent the other day,but players were not reading it or delivering the quality for him and LVG has to forget playing rvp, falcao and rooney in the same time, they dont click and rooney is wasted in cm ,it has to be 2 of the 3 .I like him as a player, great movement, works hard, knows the way back to his own penalty area and he's clearly hungry.
