I did search but couldn't see if this has been covered?

Fair enough Sol Campbell moaning that he should have been captain but to say he didn't get it because he is black is a bit out of order, especially as when he was in the team Paul Ince was a captain.

Plus he was against David Beckham and he was always going to get it infront of Sol.

It's got nothing to do with his skin. It's his character that stuffed him. If he hadn't walked out of Arsenal at half time against West Brom & then disappeared for a week, maybe Sven & then Schteve might have looked more kindly on him. Once a fool, always a fool.

Sol Campbell is a basket case. That's the reason he wasn't captain not because of the colour of his skin.

Just a bit of extra publicity for his book, whenever someone sells a book they try to spice it up a bit.

As others have said, he's just a tt.

I know the girl he knocked up, I was at school with her for a while. She's the one who should write a book, the things she's said about him.

Even John Barnes has stated today that he shouldn't have played the race card and he is normally very quick to get on his soap box when it comes to racism in football.

He was over looked because he was quiet and introverted off the pitch and David Beckham may have had a slightly higher profile.....

As has already been stated being black didn't stop Paul Ince being captain...

I'm surprised too. I saw him on TV this morning and wondered if he had ever played for Narnia. smile

Really? I don't know too much about the guy myself. Is he that bad? Worse than John Terry?

There's no such thing as an ugly millionaire, is there? He's still an arse of the first water though.

I'd agree with that. I don't think he was strong enough mentally to captain England, he did a couple of times for Arsenal but then again at that time we were a successful side so the players hardly needed Sol as an inspirational leader.

Yes. Also went out with Kelly Hoppen for a while from memory.

He's a fking prick.
What kind of arrogant chip-shouldered thinks he should have had the captaincy over Shearer/Beckham/Gerrard?

Hmmm, it's either because the FA are all racist or because Sol Campbell is a fking . You decide.

I'd assumed he's got a book out or is booked in for some reality tv ste so needed the promo. I agree that he's a though. Always was, always will be.

You're correct- it's in an extract from his new book.
