What £100M???
That figure keeps on getting bandied about.
Why???
I think bearing in mind the club's revenue, current players leaving etc - contracts up - that is the minimum Utd fans think Moyes should be looking to spend in the summer. They spent £60m in the last two windows for two players and I think it's common knowledge the fans think they need a centre-back, midfielder etc - maybe someone else. But if the reports are true (are they ever) - then Hernandez, Young, Kagawa and Cleverly are all off ... Rio, Evra, Vidic are all off anyay aren't they? That figure keeps on getting bandied about.
Why???
But will they get these £35m players with no CL football? (They ain't gonna win it, no matter what happened last night).
I think GG has a point though,
I think if Utd don't spend £100 million, it won't be down to FFP, it'll be because they won't be able to attract the sort of players who add up to cost that sort of money, thanks to the lack of CL football and the current manager- regardless of the size of their transfer budget.

Can anyone show quotes from players who have turned down a transfer because the buying club was not in the ECL?
As in, 'They offered to double my wages but I said no, it's the ECL or nothing for me.'
I am not sure that I believe that money doesn't talk.
Surely it is money and the prospect of more money and future success that attracts players. When the Sheikh bought City in 2009 they had finished 10th the prior season. Didn't stop the petro dollars buying all that talent.

A month ago I was adamant that the United board will give him at least to Xmas but now I'm not so sure. Not only does he come across as being a bit deluded but it appears he's starting to lose the dressing room too.
I reckon that if you change the argument from 'how long do we give him' to 'why keep him at all?' then the answer is evident: He has to go.
Failure in all aspects of the role is now terribly clear.
No tactical sense.
No ambition.
Squad against him.
Supporters patience pushed beyond the limit.
Crap purchase of Fellaini.
Talks the club down.
Never won anything and never will.

'Sky sources' reckon he's about to be sacked. So 25-30 million quid for less than a years work? Nice work if you can get it.
Apparently, reports say that he is only due 1 years compensation as he failed to achieve performance based targets. So only £4.5 million! Obscene amount of money for failure! A lot of Liverpool fans are probably preying that he stays on for another season .....He's gone according to the the Beeb - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27107795
Moyes gives his first interview since his sacking.
