Could you imagine LVG asking Levy if he could buy a player for £60M

& could you imagine us playing his silly three at the back with Naughton, Rose & Kaboul ?

I'm not so sure his 1 3 7 formation will work in the premier league tbh.

Still.. who cares
Ummm you? Quite obviously and repeatedly.

LVG is feeling the pressure and taking it out on Spurs for no reason. hehe

LVG said:
"“No, I don’t regret taking this job,” he told reporters. “Yes, it is a massive job I have taken on at Manchester United. I realise that. And the situation is not worse than I thought - I knew what I would find on my plate.

“I could have opted for an easier job. If I had gone to Tottenham, the job would not have been as enormous as here at United.

I could have easily gone to Spurs. But I chose the biggest challenge of all the jobs in football. And I really wanted to join the number one club in the country, not Tottenham.

Financially, Tottenham was kind of as attractive as Man United. But, in my eyes, Man United is still the number one club in England, Tottenham really is not.
Financially as appealing as Tottenham? You've been on the breakfast liqueur me thinks. I don't know why he's digging at us though. Silly Ostrich.
Oof, that cuts deep.

In terms of 'financially as appealing' one presumes he's referring to the brown envelopes Levy was waving under his nose in order to try and tempt him to North London, rather than 150m war chests.
No it doesn't. It's a perfectly reasonable comment. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would disagree with his comments.

Poor banter from LVG, methinks. He is just a st Alec Ferguson, so the song goes.

I ask again where is the money going? What about all this extra TV money where has that gone?
My guess is it's going towards paying for the new stadium.
Why don't they just say that then? or better still start bloody building it.
The one thing they will almost never admit to is that the new stadium is causing issues with investing in the squad.....especially when it's been delayed for so long already.

Arsenal for years insisted money was available and that they were breaking even/making money etc but the reality was the only way they broke even was by selling players. They have subsequently admitted (now the stadium is effectively paid for) that they never really had the money available.....they had cash in the bank but that was there for emergencies if they failed to make Top 4.

As a fan it's a looooong and painful road.

I suppose when you are Levy/ENIC and you look at the amount of money spent last summer players and how that worked out they'd like to see the new manager do something with the existing squad. Admittedly that money was generated out of the Bale sale but I imagine it's seen a big increase in the wage bill?

looked uninterested at the weekend - does he do enough work without the ball??? you have to be playing at some level not to

Bit disappointed we didn't get a striker...but really who would we have got, that would come to us, is better than what we have? We can't compete with the top 4 on a wage basis until our stadium is built.
Bony? I wanted him at Anfield

I've seen Harry Kane as a joke player for a couple of years now; nothing more than perhaps a Championship player. But the more I seem him lately, the more I think that one prolonged stint in the Premier League and he might start firing on all cylinders. I remember hearing that when he was in the u18s he was banging in goals for fun.

Ideally I think it would have been better to loan him to someone like QPR or Burnley for a season to get him some experience but at this rate he's just going to take over at Spurs. Ade's best days are behind him and although his experience gets him a goal or two, he's not going to be setting the world alight again. Soldado is just a bloody mystery. Perhaps him and Kane should be working on some sort of partnership.

He really didn't, he worked very hard and never stopped trying despite nothing (at all) coming off for him he never hid. I wish I could say the same for some of his teammates.

He's not quick running wise but feet I disagree. He's no Messi but I've seen him shift the ball and get a shot away under heavy pressure and dance past a few defenders in the box a few times. Fast thinking is invariably just experience.
yes look at his assist v west ham.

Love the way Lamela finished with such aplomb after a pretty awful ball from the winger , Whoever he is, he could do with working on his delivery as there will not always be a player of Lamela's class to smash it into the onion bag.
It's a cracking finish and no mistake BCM, he looks some player. He's been at the Lane for over a year now, how many has he racked up?

He's been injured a lot in that first year and let's face it, few players come to the PL and do well in their first season - especially as young as him.

Suarez came to the PL 2 years older and as a striker and didn't really perform representatively of his full ability for 2 years.

He was injured for most of last season. He's a quality player anyone who knows anything about football can see that.
