We're probably the only club actually worth £1b. Not only are we a global brand and a household name in many countries in the world, we're bloody profit making.
Indeed as i said far too cheap, Didn't FSG pay all the outstanding debts owed by Liverpool ? i'm sure one of the nice Liverpool supporters on here will give me some more informed information
£1b is not a ridiculous price .

I don't know what you mean BCM. It's just bantz, innit? It's a sad day when the spuddies aren't up for a bit of friendly banter. Shame
I'm still trying to figure out if we are allowed to make fun of Liverpool for gross spending of 120 mil this year or if they are congratulating Spurs for their prudent Net spending over recent seasons Black can man said:
Stop being so naughty you Welsh bounder, i'm always up for the bantz
That's good to hear. Black can man said:

Well, you'll have to ask Mart about that. Nothing to do with me.Black can man said:
Someone called Brendan Rodgers " Bodge " the other day ! You should have seen the outrage that little nugget caused.
And yet the same people that pretend to be offended by that still refer to the England manager as 'woy' you couldn't make up the double standards and mock outrage on that thread. ascayman said:

Interesting. The price will be ridiculous you'd have to really , really want Tottenham Hotspur.
I can't see it myself. If they got to around the 5-600 mark then something might happen, but how can they have £1 bil as the price with a 400 mil stadium still to build...unless that's factored into the £1 bil somehow?London424 said:

FFP has ensured that no one can do a Chelsea/Citeh anymore, all the top clubs are free from competition and the status quo can continue. You'd have to look 10 years down the line, once the stadium is paid off and you start realising profits before you'll be able to expect any major investment in the team/salaries. Who knows what the football landscape will look like by then.

Not really, there are ways round it as both those teams continue to farcically prove. Anyway I wouldn't want success that way and the septic owners dont do that anyhow, it'll be a company that would buy the club not one man.

If they are looking to spend £600-800m then regular CL/Success is going to be required if they ever want to see a return on their investment. That isn't going to happen without spending a lot of cash on players. The club isn't at the price where they could just sit on it for a few years and then flip it on for a profit.Anyway I wouldn't want success that way and the septic owners dont do that anyhow, it'll be a company that would buy the club not one man.
