I must admit i find it weird that he leaves Fazio & the Tongen on the bench & plays Kaboul & Vlad instead.
Lloris saved us from more embarrassment yesterday & should have been made club captain without question.
I've just seen that our game against Forest on wednesday is live on sky, Really not looking forward to that one either.

Saints fan... go easy.....
Do you feel that your team is better or worse than last season?
Has Poch made a -ve or +ve impact and do you see him staying as manager?
I ask because I was talking with a Spurs fan earlier today and they thought that you would be top 4 this season and that you would finish above Liverpool, Man Utd, Everton by many points.
When you played us at WHL last season, you played us off of the pitch for about 70 minutes. Then you threw the game away.Do you feel that your team is better or worse than last season?

Now your ex manager has gone straight for the "throwing it away" part, without bothering with the "playing teams off of the pitch" bit beforehand.
I have no idea why Fazio didn't play but Vertonghen has been rubbish for quite some time. He cost us some games last season with silly mistakes and all his huffing and puffing about wanting to go for a big club has turned his head. Sitting on the bench will do him some good and put his ego down a couple of notches. Haven't any of you even played football manager? AVB has.

Here's something interesting. My disclaimer is it could be bks but I don't see the motivation of making it up, but take it how you will:
A friend of mine works for a company who are involved with a chap who is doing his PhD in something sports science-esque and he's doing it at Spurs. The guy's PhD is using GPS tracking on players to develop fitness by plotting speeds, distances, times, HR and so on.
Apparently Poch has become interested in this guy's work and has been using the data from the first team's training sessions. From these reports, Vertonghen is doing poorly and doesn't put in enough work. Allegedly Poch called him into his office to ask him how he thinks his training is going and Vertonghen said he thinks he's doing well. Poch showed him the data and has dropped him until he increases his effort.

I still think Vertonghen not running around a lot is better than Chiriches running around in circles. God knows why it's been picked for Sky. You should breeze it. - Unless Psycho pulls on his boots for revenge for 1991!
