I've never seen a Spurs team play with such little ambition...they had a good spell at the end of the first half and took the goal really well but the fking sounding of the retreat after they went 1-0 up ? Never seen a Spurs team play like that.
We looked scared and didn't want to lose, play to far up the pitch and your attacking players would rip us apart.

Not nice to watch but happy with the point.

Have you fking watched spurs against top 4 sides the last couple of years?

Let's see what Arsenal do against the big boys huh?
We'll do exactly what we do every time. We'll set up offensively and the bigger more powerful sides (Chelsea & Man City) will fk us!

Can't wait until next week. boxedin

Haha...i just don't get some comments about teams "setting up defensively". What do you expect teams to do...bend over and let the better teams give you a spanking?

I get sick of watching 4+ goals conceded...so I don't mind when playing the big boys a change in tactics.

Watch Jose set his teams up...against the real challengers his first objective is not to lose. He knows his team will create chances...but if they don't get beat it's not the end of the world...especially away from home.

Please accept our apologies for not playing a formation that suits your team.

Quite.

I don't blame Spurs for playing the way they did. I blame us for not finding a way to beat them, that's our problem. Making excuses about how the opposition played just isn't acceptable to me.

I recollect Maureen'io saying we'd played 19thC football when we desperately needed the points last year and got a 0:0 at Stamford Bridge. I know Allardyce isn't everyone's cup of tea but Jose, what a knob! And yes, it's up to the home team to go out and win. biggrin

Last year you came at Arsenal at The Emirates and I remember you good people giving us a load of abuse because we only had 45% of the balland freely accused us of parking the bus.

It's what fans do to each other innit. The more I think about today, the more I'm warming to Poch. He had Skinner in his tactical pocket. None of the possession, well organised defending & hit fast on the break. That & wait for Wilste's ice cream wafer ankles to do their thing.

I'm doing a lot of it. Though, my mechanic who will fit the engine, is a Gooner. I'm not sure about the trimmer. paperbag

Well the two CB's have set a precedent that they need to be living up to week in, week out.

If they (and the others) can defend like that for the rest of the season then a comfy top 6 will be on the cards. Hopefully it wasn't just getting up for the derby game.

Surprised the scouse aren't all in here, what with Liverpool flatly denying they'd do a Spurs, then doing a Spurs, which frankly is more Spurs than anything Spurs have ever managed.
