My own thoughts are that it should be a good game with 2 teams pressing forwards and that there should be goals as both teams are not shy about putting the ball in the back of the net.

Let's be honest - we were poor. Very poor.
Surprisingly I thought Townsend was actually OK, ran at them and was an outlet. Obviously he had to have a couple of poor shots from distance but apart from that OK.
Soldado showed glimpses of really quality - when he got the ball on the half way line back to goal, turned and ran at the them. Very good - more please.
Kane was good, nothing spectacular but did everything a good forward should do.
Fazio was pretty solid, Vlad was woeful. Davies was pretty good as was Dier. Actually really like Dier, was composed, strong and didn't make a major error that I can recall.
Dembele was also showing signs of his old self when he came on.
In essence, our starting midfield was crap last night, which made it tough for the forwards.
