But these aren't their real values out there in the wide world they are stupid and perverse internal UK valuations. Nobody south of Dover is going to pay £25m for Lallana or £34m for Shaw. Thats why there are so very few English players plying their trade abroad.
And yet Madrid paid 86 mil for Bale.

Football values have gone nuts...you need to re-calibrate to this.
Rael Madrid don't count they're in world of one already.

Good news for you chaps

Alexis Sánchez has been ruled out of this Saturday's north London derby against Spurs with a hamstring injury.

Now all we need is Walcott to fall down the stairs before Saturday and we'll be in with a chance. wink

Well Berahino has apparently pissed off West Brom so is up for sale...and they won't be taking less than £20 mil and he's not accomplished much.

Excellent, we should be able to keep the score line in single figures then.

He's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for him. If he continues his current form through to the end of the season, I'm sure that one of the doped clubs would happily pay £40m+ for him. But I don't think that Levy would let him go for that. With all our high-profile sales, it's been quite clear that the player's have wanted to move. Keeping an unhappy player is counter-productive, so you squeeze as much out of the deal as possible.

I can't see Kane pushing for a move anytime soon. Maybe in a couple of years if he continues to improve and thinks that the club is gong nowhere. He'll still only be 23 though.

If you play Welbeck on his own up front then we're on for a 0-0 bounce

Why do gooners hate Skinner so much? I think he has been one of the best managers of the modern era.

Not all of them do! Frustration has definitely boiled over for all Gooners at certain points over the last couple of years....but before that some of us were more realistic about what was going on at the club. Like Spuds at the moment we were net sellers of players (in cash terms) for a long time....only so much a manager can do.

I don't reckon he'll start, but I think he'll be on the bench and an impact sub.
