It is very satisfying seeing youth perform at a higher level than 20m signings - 2 clubs Youth should want to be at are ours and yours - both are given there chance at a high level.

I doubt that we've sold anyone good who didn't want to go. I don't remember Bale saying that he really wanted to stay but Levy forced him out of the club - threatened to make him train with the kids unless he signed for Madrid.

That's ultimately the issue. They either want more money than we can/are prepared to pay. Or they want to win trophies (which is fair enough) but how are we ever going to have a good team if all the best player's keep leaving? Comes down to money. You either pay the top player's huge salaries or spend big on transfers. FFP is designed to stop you doing either by way of massive new investment. So they only logical way forwards is to produce your own players.

I was at the match. You guys were quite fortunate. 1st half you edged it and deserved to be 1 up. 2nd half was all Chelsea and you scored against the run of play. Still, that's football.

2-0 will be difficult for us to overturn at the Bridge in a fortnight. Away goals count but only after extra time AFAIK.

More good news...no pre season overseas tour. Poch has told Levy it is critical to have the team in the country for the 7 weeks leading up to the season.

Having an end of season game in Oz though.

Is getting this Kane lad on a 5-year deal @ £45k/week looking the bargain of the century?
And will Levy just sell him on if he finishes the season with 40 goals+?
