Not really - 11 goals in 58 for Carroll with Lamela getting 4 in 38 for Spurs.
Lamela's goalscoring record makes Carroll look like Messi. Carroll outscores Lamela by around 2 to 1! That is some feat.hornetrider said:
Yeah, you spent your 100m 12 months earlier. How's Lamela and Hatstand working out for you btw.
Nope we didn't spend anything that window either. You can cut it whatever way you like you have spent a small fortune in order to get back in front of us in the premier league and its worked....by a point.

I refer the honourable gentleman to the wages table posted yesterday.
You're 6th, and are 6th. We're 5th, and are 5th. So we've got exactly what we've paid for. The miracle was last year, outperforming our spend. That'll be the exception rather than the rule.
How did you get on after spending the Gareth money btw.
We fell one place below and 3 points less, the season after we sold Bale. How do you think your position/points will compare after selling Suarez? You're 6th, and are 6th. We're 5th, and are 5th. Please tell me you're not using a net spend angle. Please.
Gross spend has Liverpool spending £351.95 mil over the last 3 years. Tottenham gross was £219.65
Quite a bit more to "catch up".
You are correct in that the NET spend is even more of an embarassment.

Saying that in your horrific half-welsh half-scouse accent doesn't diminish the relevance of it.Effectively it has cost you many, many times as much as us to achieve the same.
That's without accounting for the fact that your best player for a generation who is completely unreplacable, is on his last season.
Still, lots to be excited about though eh? Like...erm....Sturridge managing a couple of months uninjured......oh.

Our net spend was about 30m in summer , was yours about 12m ?. not massive difference . If you are on about net spend ?You can cut it whatever way you like you have spent a small fortune in order to get back in front of us in the premier league and its worked....by a point.
Not that it really matters

On the Thursday three weeks ago, when the wind was from the North and the away side had four injuries, how many substitutions influenced the result?
You're currently 3 places and 11 points down on this time last year, when you had the mentally defective striker. You've managed to score 38 (THIRTY EIGHT) less goals....but on the plus side, you've improved your defence by to conceding 6 fewer.HTH as ever

Net spend:
14/15 = - 1.25 mil
13/14 = - 9.8 mil
12/13 = - 1.3 mil
11/12 = - 27 mil

Frankly the fact Tottenham are still towards the top having not spent a bean in years is remarkable.

That's a huge difference. Not to mention the huge wages you pay as well
Next year there will also fairly big wages off the books too with Ade and Kaboul on their way.
I expect quite a few more of the kids to come through next season as well. Pritchard will come back from Brentford where I believe he's been their best player, Carrol will come back from Swansea etc.
