The only way you'll get anywhere near another 2nd place finish is to get knocked out of all the cups immediately, don't play any midweek European football and have some goalscoring genuis up front. Not too bad finishing 6th though with the hope of a cup run for 2 or so years till you get your new stadium is it ?? once that is opened you will be able to compete financially a lot more so will probably push more for a top 4 finish....Game is all about top 4 now as it gets you the money/players but give me an away trip in Europe or a cup final any day.
Much rather win the Europa than finish 4th

1 and a half seasons of AVB, Bale Sold, "Magnificent 7", Tactical Tim, MoPo, Endless Thursday Cup/Sunday EPL, permanent "transition", Adebayor.... and we still finish 5th, 6th, 5th....
