It looks like Ade and Soldado will both go this window. I can only assume if that happens they'll be in for at least 1 striker.
Berahino? Anyone seen any other strikers linked?
Leandro Damião ?Berahino? Anyone seen any other strikers linked?
Llorente is being wed around I think...he's been linked for the last 3 years too, amazed we haven't seen anything this time round.
As does Soldado to Valencia, we will start the season with one striker at this rate. A striker that's barely had a rest... Add this to the fact we seem to have avoided playing friendlies this pre season could we be the most under cooked team in the League?? its lucky we have a nice easy start I suppose..

They've played at least 3 closed door friendlies that I know of (Brentford, Reading, Southend) , plus the MLS all-star game. Got that Audi cup thing this week so don't think there are any worries about pre-season. Poch has never been shy about training!
Chatting to a Spud mate this morning about the game and transfer etc, expressed my surprise you chaps werent after Hernandez. He said he'd heard a rumour that you are and that it will be tied up after the game (so you can't play him against us). No idea of how accurate it is but thought I would share

Interesting if true and wouldn't be surprised if it came to pass. Spurs will 100% be bringing in at least one more striker. There is no way they are going to get to the end of the window with only Kane (assuming Ade and Soldado are both sold as seems very likely) as a forward.

What's the point of closed door friendlies? The Audi cup thing is just one game against real isn't it?Poch has never been shy about training!
As for Hernandez no thanks he's toilet.

Audi cup is a game against Madrid tomorrow then either Bayern or Milan on Wednesday.

That's a solid, if a bit scary, prelude to the new season. So long as we don't get tanked in these two games, we should be well set for United.Of course, we'll get tanked in those two games.

The same point as for any friendlies...to get match time for the players. The closed door bit just means you don't sell tickets/have a crowd. You can arrange them pretty last minute as you don't have to worry about the logistics etc.

I don't think the ones you are referring to are 1st team friendlies though are they? it seems very odd that we haven't had a home friendly we have done every year for as long as I can remember. We (and every other team) plays 5 or 6 friendlies usually. Audi cup is a game against Madrid tomorrow then either Bayern or Milan on Wednesday.
Ah I see I didn't realise there was a second game that makes more sense then, lets just hope Kane doesn't get injured.

There was a Spurs XI against Stevenage the other day but that was basically the U21 team.
