No I think this Telegraph article pertains to, and validates, my original point. ie they are calling it a drought because it extends back into last season.

He scored in the last game of the season! He's a young striker who will probably score 15+ goals again this year. Will average between a goal every other game to a goal every third game.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for you Spurs fans. Terrible chairman who isn't prepared to back the club, hardly any new signings, failures shipped out by the busload for massive losses, no creativity to supply Kane for his goals, threadbare squad and can't buy a goal.
