12m for Agger according to that....

If we had sold Borini 14m and Assaidi 7m with Suarez at 75m that would have been £108m in this year!!!!!!!!!

That is without selling Reina or Lucas

never get too excited when we are linked with a foreign player along with Chelsea/Arsenal - the London factor gives us a disadvantage

Doesn't score enough and is too old and too expensive.

'Rumours' we had 50m to spend too... so a potential £158m

I think that was pretty much my point earlier on. Just from transfers we're likely to bring in c120 million and save on the wage bill having sold some big earners. I'd be satisfied if all we did was spend the 120 million and maybe another 20 million on top. A 150 million transfer window would mean Lovren, Lallana, Laser, Origi, Lambert, Can have cost us c90 million. Surely there's money there for a 20 million left back and a 30 million striker? Whatever happens then at least we'll be confident that we did everything possible during the transfer window to spend the money we had available.

Bren HAS to produce a striker from somewhere, this crap about not rushing to buy and must be the right fit is just that, Bren knows we need a scorer as one knock to DS and were scratching around with Lambo for PL and CL !!!!

But there's no point in spending just for the sake of spending. God knows why we're not in for Greizmann (or maybe we are and we just didn't hear anything about it), but there's only a few truly great strikers out there that seem to be _maybe_ available.

We need a striker, we have at our disposal c30 million. We wouldn't be spending for the sake of spending. We'd be spending because we need a striker to be able to compete. Sturridge cannot play midweek and then at the weekend. And if he gets injured we're fked. We won't get to Xmas with just Sturridge and still be competing.

Why would he reject La Liga winners and Champs league runners up and come to us?

Could Reus play up front? It would take a huge bid, but he looks ideal.

I guess the other problem we'll have with any top top striker is that they'll immediately know they were our third choice (after Remy), which wouldn't exactly endear me to a move to Anfield!

Would it take a huge a bid as people think...rumour are his buy out comes into play next year at 26m
So would 35-38m not get him?

They also do not want him to go to Bayern...

I think the fact that we were going to give Remy the 7 shirt shows that we thought that was that when it came to front men.

I hope I am wrong, but I just don't think we will pay what is required for a top established player.

Reus's stats are very good.

I totally agree, if this happens we are gonna struggle....

We are ok with Wide and midfield players so cannot go into the season with what was our strongest last year stripped of its best and not replaced. (obviously not a like for like as he dont exist)

Totally agree...not for me one bit... plus would you really move DS outwide for him or expect him to sit on the bench...I think not.

Benteke would be a good fit for you guys, strong, good in the air and can put them away providing he has good delivery as we saw last year up until October

Would that not be the case with any £30M striker we added to the squad? It's not exclusive to Balotelli is it...

I think this is why he looked at someone like Remy, he can interchange and play both positions, like Sturridge can. Balotelli cannot play out wide.
