The players are really treading gingerly on the near side, seems crazy playing this kind of venue.

Coates looks like he has lost at least a stone since I last saw him.
I think Enrique has been stealing his meals

Coates and Enrique impressing.
Joe Allen garbage.
Sturridge and Lambo not getting much delivery.
Hopefully Cann and Sterling/Ibe for Allen and Lambo. Inject a bit of pace in to the game.

2 unstoppable finishes by Hendo an Raheem.
Hart has been unbelievable. Quite possibly MOTM.
Looks like it is going to pens.
Sterling has been great since coming on and Cann a huge improvement on Allen.

Pens.
Kolorov first. Over the bar.
Sturridge first for us. Over the bar!

Yaya Toure. Mignolet saves it with his feet. Poor pen.
Emre Cann. Sticks it to Hart left and scores.

Jesus up next. Had a good game. Mignolet great save!
Henderson. Sends Hart the wrong way and buries it.

Inatcho for City. Looks good and calmly sticks it down the middle.
Lucas next to win it. Sends Hart the wrong way smile

Not our first, or second choice centre back pairing but our tactics still seem to leave us defensively exposed. We do need 1 if not 2 new full backs though.

Gerrard's getting slower and slower. Allen is his usual invisible self and think he'll be last choice midfielder this season behind Can. If I'm honest, and I haven't exactly been his number 1 fan, he's finished here. He'll want to play regularly, could probably do a job for Southampton, and he'll be gone for around 10 million in the summer.

Sturridge without Suarez is easily marked out and old man Lambert looks criminally slow the way we play. Coutinho and Sturridge will shine, Coutinho still can't shoot but Sterling I think will emerge this season as one of the players of the season.

Entertaining game, don't think we learned anything new. This window we still need a full back and striker and over the course of the next 2 windows we'll need another full back and a genuine top class central midfielder to replace Gerrard. Going forward I think we'll be at the stage where we can bring in one top player per transfer window.

Can was only for a bit but we have deffo got on here, he is a right beast.....

Cant see him being benched for long, he used to play LB in Germany too, wonder if we should run him there for a bit?

I thought Enrique had a hard time on a crappy pitch but feel once fully fit he can do a job and he has a lovely left foot

Just seeing JA annoys me - just a waste of time and money - why cant anyone ever admit they are wrong in football and get shut whilst Soton need anyone!, Gerrard wont have to run with Can and Hendo his enforcers, he can conserve his ability but he aint dead yet!

Sterling will be a great polyfilla - he will cover numerous shortcomings whilst we get the blend right, he can win us games like Citeh providing the defence done conceded too many. Sturridge will have to learn a new way of playing without Louis - he is a smart lad it wont take long.

Looks like Sterling had a great game. Think he'll be one of our best players this coming season.

Toure had a nightmare for Citys second goal! Playing at least 2 players onside and didn't know who was behind him!

I have to admit, I think Ihenacho for City has been the player that has impressed me the most in pre-season so far. I think he's going to be a real big player for them soon.

Is Negredo getting game time at citeh?

If not he'd be worth looking at.
