Last go because I've got somewhere to be.... do you really need me to explain why a decent person's first engagement with a stranger wouldn't be to call their Grandmother a prostitute?

I'm not disappearing for good and happy to talk football but no-one wins an internet argument and ad-homs end up nowhere. I'm already fairly embarrassed with myself.

Thank you Gaz.

As for the city game, it depends which team turns up. The one who thumped Dortmund or the one who squeezed past Southampton?

Oh and signing a decent striker between now and then certainly wouldn't hurt our cause.

The message doesn't seem to be getting through does it JC. Next transgression results in a trip to the bin or a full ban. 33 months of aggregation & you have exhausted our patience.

Drawing a line under this: LFC supporters, Man City next Monday, how do you think you'll do? I'll predict a 2-2, and it's a nice long rest between the Soton & City games isn't it?
I'd be really happy with a very boring 0-0, just to prove we can.

I am not very confident though.

I think we'll struggle against City to be honest. Not sure, I suppose Arsenal did them over. Would be a hard choice to start with Lucas, Can or Allen.

Looking forward to seeing the Chelsea Burnley game too, another hard one to call, but I think Burnley are going to get a hard welcome to the Premiership!

Thanks Gaz.

City's midfield will murder Liverpool's if it's manned and deployed in the same way as it was yesterday.

City will be a more open game in that they are unlikely to park the bus. A tough one for us to win, 2-2.

I would be playing Cann in that game, as well as Allen did when he came on the other day he is not great with big powerful CM's (YAYA)

We had a midfield yesterday?!

I can only hope we play better. Still, the Liverpool way does seem to be playing well against the big teams and then lose far too many against the smaller ones (that said, was a bit different last year).

He could be Scottish too (saying that as one) - the good old "Yer maw" is used a bit too frequently.

Yep. Can, Gerrard and Henderson with Sterling Coutinho and Sturridge up front.

I'd start Moreno as well, I remember Arbeloa debuting at Barca away and doing an impressive job on Messi. The big question is whether Johnson starts. I'd personally put him on the bench.

We might even have bought a striker by then smile

Just out of interest why do you think this Liverpool thread always gets the most posts?

It seems to be always up there? Not sure if Liverpool will win the premiership this year but if it judged on posts here they will! Always very good support on PH.
It's a thread for Scousers and Scousers don't have a job, meaning more free time to post. #SpursBantz

Am I doing it right?
I've got a job, I'm a civil servant and just happen to be on 3 weeks leave. wink

Unfortunately Chelski have just scored a sublime second to rival that Arsenal goal last season!

Kaveh Solekol on Skysports News just now:

"Liverpool still chasing Falcao but he still favours a move back to Spain. Real Madrid would be his preferred option however they would have to sell a non-EU player first".

He then goes on to say:

"It is my understanding that Liverpool are looking to sign a World Class striker before the window shuts".

Read into that what you like but I suspect that rules Bony out with Liverpool will be keeping an eye on an potential sale from Madrid. If none is forthcoming, Falcao is probably a very real option. 1 year loan perhaps? Apparently Eto'o is a fall back option.
