Because of the Suarez sale, we've spent very little so far this season, about 20 million maximum.

I still want Assaidi, Lucas and one of Agger/Coates sold in addition to Borini. Best part of 40 million there with some serious wage savings. I think the money is there to bring someone in.
Coates will be kept i think, or be loaned out, he did well in pre season and impressed BR. centre backs normally don't hit peak till late 20's so bit early to judge him.

Agger sadly will leave as soon as a deal can be sorted.

In a way we face same dilemma as others, the players you want to fit into your system may not be available now, so we might have to wait until Jan to line up new talent.

But a deal for Bony i'd say will come off

Yup, just ask Phil Jones. The guy is an absolute brick wall.

I would be playing Cann in that game, as well as Allen did when he came on the other day he is not great with big powerful CM's (YAYA)
Didn't Allen get the MOM in his first season with you (when he was playing well) having run rings around Yaya Toure?

Are there no stand out candidates from the youth system? Reality is on paper we actually only play 1 striker with a few wingers/forwards behind him. I'd be happy for Sturridge to lead the line, then we have one or 2 backups (which we already have) BUT have plenty of pacey wingers/midfielders for rotation.

He did. Can't see BR taking a risk on a newbie (Can) in such a high profile game, so would fully expect him to start alongside Henderson and Gerrard, with Coutinho and the SAS.

A sneaky bid? As in put on a moustache and hope they don't notice we're LFC? They were never going to sell Heinze to us, let alone Chico. Never going to happen.

Nope CAS ruled that he should be allowed to play friendly matches as well

Nothing to do with FIFA sho you should remove the tinfoil hat with regard to Barca having had any sway.

Nope after all of those who played with LFC with Moustache's we'd be rumbled straight away, need to go a different route smile

Did you guys really put in a bid for Bony of £12.5m initially?

To be honest, I hadn't heard that we'd even bid for him. I thought we were looking at both Bony and Remy, but decided to go with Remy.

If that is true it's pretty laughable considering we paid £13m for him!

Our board see him as the spearhead of the club now and having given things I have heard from inside the club there is no way he will leave for less than £25m.

I like Bony as a player. But not as a Liverpool player.

Swansea manager Garry Monk has confirmed he has received "no offers" for Wilfried Bony, despite rumours linking the striker to Liverpool.

Surely that answers your question??
