Mario, he's great and a welcome distraction. Not a distraction I'd like at Liverpool though.

yes

He's much like a classic British Leyland car, you appreciate someone else going to the effort of keeping it going but you'd not want to take it on yourself

Balotelli for 17 million is better than a deadline day chase for Boni.
Said it before on here, Mario is the most overhyped footballer in world football IMO. Average at best. I'd take Boni over him all day long.

I'd say more like an Alfa. Looks great but will always break down when you least expect it to.

I agree. Ballotelli's goalscoring record is crap given the talent he's had around him and his 'popularity'. I'd say Bony represents a much better return, plus a likely smaller wage packet.

Yep me too - people like to buy names thought dont they, hence why Balotelli gets more attention

Wenger came out with a comment not so long ago about fans -

"Fans rate players on how much you spend - I rate them on how good they are"

Slightly different but very true

Taking finances out of the equation at the moment as it's clear we have money in abundance.

Which player would people rather have:

Apps Goals
Player A 220 88
Player B 210 110

Player B, buuuuuuut, it would also depend on age

If Player B is 29/30 and A is 22/23 I would take A on the basis he is still likely to improve

Player B.

However you do that with etoo he probably has better figures than both, so the argument doesnt always follow.

Both players are in their mid twenties, about 18 months apart!

In which case Player B, there are still many other variables to take into account but on that basis B

Who are they?

Depends who they played for and in which league though surely? Player B's stats don't look so good if they played for Madrid, Citeh or Celtic, whereas player A's stats look brilliant if they played for Spurs hehe

The season where Balotelli helped City beat United to the title in the final miuntes, Balotelli was credited with only one assist the whole season......

the one where he popped it to aguero to win the premiership.

Id want a striker that could pass the ball when he couldnt score himself.

That could be Balotelli's name after Suarez is done with him.

Agreed you can't answer the question without knowing this.

Player A is Balotelli and Player B is Bony. Thought you guys would have put two and two together.

Fair enough Balotelli has only played in Serie A and the Premier League, whereas Bony has played for Sparta Prague in the Gambrinus liga and Vitesse in Eredivisie, Bony's stats in just the Premier League are still much better than Balotellis (again, considering the teams they've both played in):
Apps Goals
Balotelli 80 30
Bony 48 25

This is also only league apps and goals.
